A RESOLUTION CF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITI OF BALDWIN
PARK REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTT
OF LOS ANGELES TO PERMIT THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS CF SAID
COUNTY TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES TO THE GITI OF
BALDWIN PARK RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF A GENERAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID GITY ON APRIL 8, 1958^
WEREAS, a general municipal election is to be held in the City
of Baldwin Park on April 8, 1958; and
WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of said election and in re-
lation thereto it will be necessary to mail sample ballots and polling
place cards to the registered voters of the City, and it will facilitate
such mailing if the Registrar of Voters of the County of Los Angeles will
prepare and furnish the City the imprinting of the names and addresses
of the registered voters of said City on mailing labels or stickers
furnished by the City; pursuant to the provisions of Section 9U83 of the
Elections Code^and
WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing this service
shall be paid by the City of Baldwin Park, the estimated cost of said
services is $55-00, and it is hereby ordered that the sum of $55.00
being an amount of 10^ in excess of such estimated cost) be reserved
from the funds of said City for this purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
does hereby RESOLVE, DETSRMNE and ORDER, as follows;
Section 1. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to forward
without delay to said Board of Supervisors and to said Registrar of
Voters, each a certified copy of this resolution,
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED THIS l?th day of February, 1958.
