OF B&IWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA, CRDBUNG, CALLING- AND PROVIDING F(B THE GENBtAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HEID ON THE 8TH DAY CF APRIL, 19$8 WHEREilS, Section 36$03 of the Government Code requires that a general municipal election be held in general law cities on the second Tuesday in April of each even numbered yearjp NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park, California, does hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND CRD3ER as follows: Section 1. That said general municipal election be held and the same is hereby called to be held in the City of Baldwin Park on April 8, 19?8. Section 2. That the polls for said election shall be opened at seven o lock A.M. of the day of aaid election and shall remain open continuously from said time until seven o1clock P»M« of the same day, when said polls shall be closed, except as provided in Section 73U of the Elections Code of the State of California. Section 3» That for the purpose of holding said general municipal election there shall be and are hereby established thirteen 13) voting precincts desig- nated as hereinafter stated. Each such voting precinct shall consist of either regular election precincts in the City of Baldwin Park of the names and numbers hereinafter stated) established for the holding of State and County elections, as said regular election precincts exist on the date of adoption of this resolu- tion or a consolidation of some or all of such precincts. That the polling places for the respective precincts shall be the places hereinafter designated^ and that the persons hereinafter named, being competent and qualified electors and residents of said city and of thetr respective voting precincts, are hereby appointed officers of election for their respective voting precincts and they shall hold said election and make return thereof in the manner provided by law, Voting Precinct 1, comprising State and County precinct numbers 3, 13, 21 and 33o The polling place shall be at Charles Bursch School, h2h5 N. That except as otherwise provided in this resolution, the election called hereby shall be held and conducted as provided by Chapter 2, Part 2, Division 11 of the Elections Code, and in all respects not other- wise provided Hor in said Chapter, said election shall be hel^l and conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Elections Code governing elections generally, so far as they may be applicable. Section 5» That the compensation which shall be paid to each election officer and the rental to be paid to each owner as rental for each polling place is as follows: Inspector; $18.00 Judge: $l5«00 Clerk: $15.00 Polling Places: $15.00 Section 6. That the City Council of said city shall meet at its usual place of meeting on April l5, 1958, at 7s 30 o'clock P.M., of said day, and proceed to canvass the election returns and declare the result of said election. Section 7. That the City Clerk shall give the notices required ty law for the holding of said general municipal election. Section 8. This resolution shall take effect upon its adoption.
