RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING THE
GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES FOR
LEGAL HOLIDAY AND OVERTIME WORK IN SAID CITY
FCR CERTAIN CRAFTS OR TYPES OP WORKMEN FOR THE
IMPROVEMENT OP PUBLIC OFF-STREET PARKING
FACILITIES.
WHEREAS, this City Council has by Resolution hereto-
fore adopted ordered certain work or improvement, said work
or improvement being more particularly described as the grad-
ing and paving of off-street parking facilities along Ramona Boule'
vard, Baldwin Park, California, and as all other items and
facilities for, or incidental to said paving and grading, all
of which are set forth in the Plans and Specifications therefor
which have been approved by the City Council and which are on
file in the office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, this City Council is required to ascertain the
general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in
which said work is to be performed for each craft or type of
workman needed to execute the contract for said work, and this
City Council is required to ascertain the general prevailing
rate for legal holiday and overtime work in said locality for
each craft or type of workman needed to execute said contract,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER
as follows:
SECTION 1: That the general prevailing rate of per
diem wages in the locality in which said work is to be perform-
ed for each craft or type of workman needed to execute the
contract for said work is determined to be as follows, towit:

All foremen not herein separately classified
shall be paid not less than 25 cents per hour
more than the hourly rate of the highest class-
ification over which he has supervision.
PROVIDED that one and one-half 1-1/2) times the said
prevailing rate of wages shall be paid for any working time
more than eight 8) hours during any one l) calendar day.

Further provided, that two 2) times the said prevailing rate
of wages shall be paid for any working time on Sundays and the
seven 7) legal holidays, towit: New Year's Day, Memorial Day,
Fourth of July, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day and
Christmas.
SECTION 2: Said general prevailing rates shall be
specified in the Contract for said work.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of March, 1958.

I, ELMER COOK, City Clerk of the City of Baldwin Park,
California, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly adopted by the City Council of the said City and was
approved by the Mayor of said City at a regular meeting of said
City Council held on the 3rd day of March, 1958 and that it was
adopted by the following vote:
