RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OP LOS
ANGELES TO DEED TO THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK MORGAN PARK AND
BARNES PARK UPON THE DISSOLUTION OF THE BALDWIN PARK PARK,
RECREATION AND PARKWAY DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, there has been or Is about to be submitted
to the voters within the Baldwin Park Park, Recreation and
Parkway District the question of whether or not the District
should be dissolved, and
WHEREAS, in the event of said dissolution there would
be within the limits of the City of Baldwin Park two parks,
known as Morgan Park and Barnes Park, and
WHEREAS, the City,of Baldwin Park desires to obtain
title to the land of said parks for the purpose of maintain-
ing thereon park and recreational facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: In the event of the dissolution of the
Baldwin Park Park, Recreation and Parkway District, it is re-
quested that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los
Angeles deed to the City of Baldwin Park title to Morgan Park
and Bames Park.
SEGTIBN 2: The City Clerk Is directed to certify to
the adoption of this Resolution and to forward a certified
copy thereof to the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles
County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21stday of April, 1958, by the
following called vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN; Bishop. Holmes, T.ittl^ohn, Sf^ph.n..
and Cole.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: Hone.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
