RESOLUTION OP THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OP BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA,
DETERMINING THE GENERAL PREVAILING
RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES FOR LEGAL
HOLIDAY AND OVERTIME WORK IN SAID
CITY FOR CERTAIN CRAFTS OR TYPES
OP WORKMEN.

WHEREAS, this City Council has by its Resolution
No* 58"^§ ordered certain work or improvement, said
work or improvement being more particularly described in
its resolution of intention. Resolution No. 57-989 and
shown on plans which include profiles and detailed draw-
ings) designated Plan and profile No. 56-2", on file in
the office of the City Clerk of said city, and described
in specifications designated Specifications No. 56-2", also
on file in the office of said City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has ascertained the
general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality
in which said work is to be performed for each craft or
type of workmen needed to ex^ute the contract for said work,
and this City Council has ascertained the general^prevailing
rate for legal holiday and overtime work in said locality
for each craft or type of workman needed to execute said
contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE
AND ORDER as follows:

the said prevailing rate of wages shall be paid for
any working time more than eight 8) hours during
any one 1) calendar day. Further provided, that
two 2) times the said prevailing rate of wages
shall be paid for any working time on Sundays
and the seven 7) legal holidays, to wits
New year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July,
Labor Day, Veteran'a Daty, Thanksgiving Day, and
Christmas•
Section 2. Said general prevailing rates shall
be specified In the call for bids for said contract and in
the contract Itself.
ADOPTED, SIGHED AND APPROVED this 5th day of
May 1998.
