A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK ALLOWING PAYROLL CLAIMS AND DEMANDS
NUMBERS 3288 THROUGH 33$2 INCLUSIVE.
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows;
SECTION 1^. That according to Section 57202 of the Government
Code the Finance Director, or Ms designated representative, hereby
certify to the accuracy of the following demands, and to the aval I ability
of funds for-payment thereof.
Finance Director
SECTION 2, That Warrants Numbers 3288 through 33$2inclusive
constituting the payroll of the City of Baldwin Park for the period
from May l l9$8 thru Mey 1$,19$8 have been audited as required
by law and that the same are hereby allowed In the amount of $ 9,919*8$
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 2nd day of June_________, 195B

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK COMMEMORATING
ELMER COOK FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICE
TO THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK.

WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park was incorporated as a general law city of the State of
California in the County of Los Angeles on the 25th day of January 1956, and
WHEREAS Elmer Cook was a leader in the incorporation movement and devoted invaluable
time and effort toward providing the inhabitants of the City of Baldwin Park with home rule, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Cook was elected by the voters at the incorporation election as the first City
Clerk of the City of Baldwin Park, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Cook was appointed by the City Council as the first City Administrative
Officer of the City of Baldwin Park, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Cook has guided the City of Baldwin Park through its formative years with
honesty, intelligence and unswerving devotion,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park, does RESOLVE.
DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section i. Mr. Elmer Cook, the first City Clerk and the first City Administrative Officer of
the City of Baldwin Park, is granted this Resolution in commemoration of his meritorious service
to the City of Baldwin Park.
Section 2. The services which Mr. Cook has performed for the City of Baldwin Park have
been exemplary in character; he has performed his duty to the public impartially and with fairness
and equality to all; and he has guided the administration of the City in a manner which is unequal-
led in public administration.
Section To Elmer Cook, the City Council of his City extends the heartfelt graditudc of all
its inhabitants.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park has caused this
Resolution to be adopted by the unanimous vote of the members thereof on the l___ day
of X^^-y^y 1958, and has caused the same to be subscribed to by the entire
membership of the City Council on said date.
