RESOLUTION OP THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA,
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE
CONSTRUCTION OP CERTAIN STREET WORK
IN CENTRAL AVENUE IN THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA; DECLARING
THE WORK TO BE OF MORE THAN LOCAL OR
ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEFIT; DESCRIBING
THE DISTRICT TO BE BENEFITED BY SAID
WORK AND TO BE ASSESSED TO PAY THE
COST AND EXPENSE THEREOF; DETERMIN-
ING THAT BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO
REPRESENT ASSESSMENTS TO BE LEVIED;
AND FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR
HEARING PROTESTS AND OBJECTIONS TO
SAID WORK OR THE EXTENT OF THE
DISTRICT TO BE ASSESSED, OR BOTH,
AND GIVING NOTICE THEREOF.

WHEREAS, this City Council proposes, as hereinafter
more particularly set forth, to take proceedings under the
Improvement Act of 1911.? Division 7 of the Streets and High-
ways Code, for the construction of certain work or improve-
ment in the City of Baldwin park;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Baldwin park, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND
ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That the public interest and conven-
ience require and that it is the intention of the City Council
of said City of Baldwin park to order the following work to
be done or improvement to be made in the City of Baldwin park,
to wit:

tion of certain curbs and gutters on
CENTRAL AVENUE
between the northeasterly extension of the southeasterly line
of Big Dalton Avenue and Puente Avenue.
Section 2. That all the aforesaid work and improve'
ment shall be sonstructed at the grades, along the lines,
between the points, of the dimensions, at the places and in
the manner shown on the plans which include profiles and
detailed drawings) for the said work, designated plan No.
1957-8", consisting of one sheet, and in accordance with said
plans and with the specifications for said work, which are
designated Specifications No. 1957-8". Said plans and speci-
fications have heretofore been approved by the City Council
of the City of Baldwin park and are on file in the office of
the City Clerk of the City of Baldwin Park in the City Hall
in said City of Baldwin park, and reference is hereby made to
said plans and specifications for the full and detailed
description of said proposed work and for a description of
the grades at which said work is to be done. The estimated
cost of said work or improvement, inclusive of incidental
expense of the proceedings, is the sum of ij>4,771^0.
Section 3. That in the opinion of the City
Council the said contemplated work is of more than local
or ordinary public benefit and this City Council hereby

1958 103 CC RESOxJ × Ú makes the expense of said work chargeable upon a district,
which district this City Council hereby declares to be the
district benefited by the said work and to be assessed to
pay the cost and expense thereof. For a description of
said district reference is hereby made to a plat or map of
said district heretofore approved by this City Council on
file in the office of the said City Clerk and designated
Map of Assessment District No. 1957-8", which map or plat
Indicates by a boundary line the extent of the territory
included in the said proposed district and shall govern
for all details as to the extent of said assessment
district.
Section 4. That serial bonds bearing interest
at the rate of six per cent 6^) per annum shall be issued
to represent each assessment of fifty dollars $50) or over
remaining unpaid for thirty 30) days after the date of
recordation of the warrant. Said serial bonds shall extend
over a period ending nine 9) years from the second day of
January next succeeding the next October 15th following
their date. Said bonds shall contain redemption provisions
providing for a premium of five 5) percent of tne unpaid
principal pursuant to Section 6464 of the Streets and High-
ways Code. Said bonds are Issued pursuant to and as provided
in the Improvement Act of 1911^ Division 7 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California.
Section 5. That the said proposed work is to be
done under and proceedings therefor are to be under and pur-
suant to the said Improvement Act of 1911.

1958 103 CC RESOxJ × Ú Section 6. That notice Is nereby given that the
20th day of October, 1958, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M.,
are the day and hour when, and the New Council Cnambers of
this City Council in the New City Hall, 14403 E. pacific
Avenue, in said City of Baldwin park is the place where any
and all persons having any protest or objection to said
proposed work or to the extent of said assessment district,
or to the proposed grades, may appear before the City Council
of said City of Baldwin park and snow cause why said proposed
work should not be carried out in accordance with this resolu'
tion of intention, protests or objections must be in writing
and must be delivered to the City Clerk of said City of
Baldwin park not later than the hour set herein for hearing
protests or objections.
Section 7. The SAN GABRIEL VALLEY TRIBUNE, a
newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated
in the County of Los Angeles, there oeing no newspaper
printed and published in the City of Baldwin park, is
hereby selected as the newspaper in which tnis resolution
shall be published and, except when otherwise ordered by
this City Council, in which all other publications in tne
proceedings pursuant to tnis resolution of intention shall
be made. The said City Clerk is hereby directed to certify
to the adoption of this resolution and to cause said resolu-
tion T/O oe published in the manner provided by law,
Section 3. That said City Clerk is hereby directed
to mail notices of the adoption of this resolution as pro-
vided in said Improvement Act of 1911^ postage prepaid, to

all persons owning real property which is proposed to be
assessed to pay any part of the cost of said work., whose
names and addresses appear on the last equalized assess-
ment roll or as known to the said City Clerk, including
the mailing of such notices to every owner of property
assessed by the State under Section 14 of Article XIII of
the Constitution at tne address thereof shown on the last
board roll transmitted to the County Auditor*
Section 9. The Superintendent of Streets of the
said City of Baldwin Park is nereby directed to cause to
be conspicuously posted along the line of the contemplated
work and on all open streets within the said assessment
district notices of the passage of this resolution in the
time^ form and manner provided by law.
