A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK GIV-
ING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXA-
TION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY TO BE
KNOWN AS ANNEXATION NO. 5
Whereas, LLOYD L. DANCER, ADA E. DANCER, VICTOR P.
FERRARO and JOSEPHINE E. FERRARO have filed their written petition
requesting annexation to the City of Baldwin Park of the territory
therein described under the procedures and pursuant to the Annexa-
tion of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939; and
Whereas, said petitioners are the owners of not less
than one-fourth 1/4) of the land in said territory by area; and not
less than one-fourth 1/4) of the assessed value of said land as
shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of Los
Angeles, within which said territory is located; and
Whereas, said territory is uninhabited as defined
in said Act and is contiguous to the boundaries of the City of
Baldwin Park; and
Whereas, it would be in the public interest and to
the interest of the City of Baldwin Park if said territory were to
be annexed to the City of Baldwin Park; and
Whereas, before said petition was circulated and
filed, the proposed annexation was submitted to the County Boundary
Commission as required by law and the report of said Commission has
been rendered;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park does resolve as follows:
Section 1. That pursuant to said petition of LLOYD
DANCER, ADA E. DANCER, VICTOR P. FERRARO and JOSEPHINE E. FERRARO
and under the procedure and pursuant to the Annexation of Unin-
habited Territory Act of 1939, being Article 5, Chapter 1, Part 2,
Division 2, Title 4 of the Government Code of the State of California,
as amended, notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City
of Baldwin Park proposes to annex to the City of Baldwin Park certain

1958 108 CC RESOxJ × ô uninhabited territory contiguous thereto, and hereinbefore referred
to, situated in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, des-
cribed as follows:
Beginning at the Southerly corner in the boundary
of the City of Baldwin Park, as same existed on
July 15, 1958, said corner being the intersection
of the Northeasterly line of Francisquito Avenue,
60 ft. wide, with the Northwesterly line of Tract
No. 21521, as shown on map recorded in Book 573,
pages 15 and 16, of Maps, in the office of the
Recorder of the County of Los Angeles; thence S
48 07' E on the Southeasterly prolongation of the
Northeasterly line of said Francisquito Avenue,
85.50 ft., more or less, to a line that is parallel
with, and 411.36 ft. Northwesterly measured at
right angles from the Southeasterly line of Lot 26,
El Monte Walnut Place, as shown on map recorded in
Book 5, page 104, of said Maps; thence S 41° 53' W
on said parallel line, 360.00 ft; thence S 48° 07'
E, 108.00 feet; thence 3 41° 53' W, 125.00 feet;
thence 3 48° 07' E, 303.36 feet to the 3outheasterly
line of said Lot 26; thence N 41° 53' E on said
Southeasterly line, 425.00 ft. to the Southwesterly
line of said Francisquito Ave.; thence N 48° 07' W
on said Southwesterly line, 410.36 feet; thence N
41° 53' E, 61.00 feet; thence N 48° 07' W, 86.50
feet, more or less, to the existing boundary of said
City of Baldwin Park; thence Southwesterly on said
boundary, 1.00 ft. to the point of beginning.
Section 2. That said uninhabited territory is des-
ignated as Annexation No. 5.

1958 108 CC RESOxJ × ô Section 3. That notice is hereby given that the
tixne and place the City Council will hear protests made by any person
owning real property within the said territory herein proposed to be
annexed to the City of Baldwin Park is the 3rd day of November, 1958,
at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chamber located in
the City Hall at 14403 East Pacific Avenue, in the City of Baldwin
Park, California. At anytime before the hour set for hearing objec-
tions any owner of property within the territory may file written
protests against the annexation. The protest shall state the name
of the owner of the property affected and the description and area
of the property in general terms.
Section 4. That the City Clerk is hereby instructed
to cause a copy of this resolution to be published or posted and
written notice of said proposed annexation to be mailed as required
by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of September 1958.
