VSOKSASp the Board of Supervisors of the Cownty of Los Angelea la about to
coioence proceedings under DiTiaion 7 of the Streets and Highways Coda, for tha
annexation of territory to County Lifting Maintenance District No* 17U; and
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation consists of two parcels in which street
lights will be installed in the City of Baldwin Park; and
WHEREAS, all of the land included in the proposed annexation lies within
the boundary of the City of Baldwin Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park as follows:

That the public interest, convenience and necessity require the aaintenanoe
of a street lighting syatea located within said territories as shown oa the aapa
of the annexation to County Lighting Maintenance District No. 17U approved by
the County Boundary Coamission on the 29th day of October, 195^ and on file in
the office of the Bead Coaoiasioner, and as set forth in the proposed Resolution
of Intention of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angelas for this
annexation, a copy of which resolution, ineooplete as to dates and similar
inforaation which can only be inserted at the tijne of adoption, is attached
hereto and oade a part hereof.

That this City Council hereby consents to the annexation of said territory
as described in said proposed resolution of intention, included within the
boundaries of said annexation, and lying within the boundary of the City of
Baldwin Park.

within the boundary of the proposed annexation as set forth in said proposed
Resolution of Intention, lying within the boundary of the City of Baldwin Park,

and hereby concents to the iacluioa of aid lands within the proposed annexation
and to the asseaaaent thereof.

That the consent of thia City Council ia hereby given to the conaencexent
of the proceedings for aaid annexation to County Lighting Maintenance Diatrict
No, 17U by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles, and to the
exercise of excloaiTe jurisdiction of said Board of Supervisors over all proeeed-
inga necessary thereto for the purpose of consui—ating the aaaa, all in accordance
with the provisions of Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code.
SECTION 5
That the Clerk of the City Council is hereby directed to certify and deliver
two copies of this resolution to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Los Angeles•
SECTION 6
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution by the City
Council of the City of Baldwin Park and shall cause the saae to be posted in three
3) conspicuous places in the City of Baldwin Park, and it shall thereupon take
effect*

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Loa Angeles,
State of California, hereby finds, determines and resolves:
1. That public interest and convenience require*
that the benefited territory hereinafter described, which
territory ie non-contiguoua with County Lighting Maintenance
District No. 17U and all of which territory lies in the
County of Loa Angeles, be annexed to, and it is the intention
of the Board of Supervisors to order that it be annexed to,
included within, and hereafter be a part of County Lighting
yaintenance District No* i7Uy pursuant to and in accordance
with sections 5837 et eeq. of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California, as amended.
2. The non-contiguous territory proposed to be so
annexed consists of the area included within boundaries
described as follows;

Parcel A
Beginning at the most northerly corner of Lot 14 in Block B of
Tract No. 10^55, as shown on map recorded in Book 188, pages 24 and
25 of Maps, in the office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles;
thence southwesterly in a direct line to the most westerly corner of
Lot 15 in said block; thence southeasterly along the southwesterly
line of said last mentioned lot to a line that is parallel with and
147 feet northwesterly, measured at right angles, from the center
line of Puente Avenue, as said center line is shown on said map;
thence southwesterly along said parallel line 5^2.50 feet? thence
southeasterly perpendicular to said parallel line to said center line*

Beginning at the northwesterly corner of Tract No, 22367, as
shown on map recorded in Book 614^ pages 51 and 52 of Maps, in the
office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles; thence easterly
and southerly along the boundary of said tract to the center line of
Cleo Street, as shown on map of Tract No. 16422, recorded in Book
374» pages 15 and 16 of said Maps; thence easterly along said center
line to the northerly prolongation of the easterly line of Lot 86 of
said last mentioned tract; thence southerly along said prolongation

The Board of Supervisors hereby fixes the
day of 19____, at the
hour of o'clock a«m* as the day and hour, and the Hearing
Room of the Board of Supervisors in the Hall of Records, City of Los Angeles,
as the place, for hearing upon the question of annexation of said territory,
when and where any and all persons having objections to the proposed annexation
or to the inclusion of any property within the proposed annexation, may appear
before said Board of Supervisors and show cause why said proposed annexation
should not be made in accordance with this resolution of intention.
The clerk is hereby directed to cause notice of tne Lime, place and
purpose of said hearing to be published once a week for two successive weeks
in the a newspaper of
general circulation which the Board of Supervisors deems raost likely to give
notice of said hearing to the inhabitants of said district and of said
territory proposed to be annexed^ and to cause notices of said hearing to be
posted not less than 10 days prior to the date set for the hearing in three
conspicuous places within the territory proposed to be annexed and within
said County Lighting Maintenance District No. i>*^*_____, all in the form
and manner prescribed in section 5^38 of the Streets and Highways Code.
