A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK REQUESTING CANCELLA-
TION OF UNPAID TAXES UPON REAL PROPERTY
ACQUIRED BY THE CITY AND DEVOTED TO PUBLIC
USE.
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park, a municipal cor-
poration, has acquired property situated in the City of
Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
described as:
Lot 40 of Tract 8706, as per map recorded
in Book 113^ Pages 25 and 26 of Maps, in the
office of the County Recorder of said County;
and
WHEREAS.? said property was acquired from Warren J.
Sargent and Margaret J. Sargent, his wife, 10728 South
Prairie Avenue, Inglewood, California, by grant deed duly
recorded on May 29, 1958, in Book D114, Page 590, Official
Records of Los Angeles County, California; and
WHEREAS, all of said property is within the corpor-
ate limits of the City of Baldwin Park and was acquired for
municipal purposes, and is and in the future will be devoted
to public use; and
WHEREAS, none of said property at the time it was
acquired had any improvements upon it,
NOW, THEREFORE, the Honorable Board of Supervisors
of the County of Los Angeles is hereby requested to order
the cancellation of all current taxes, also special assess-
ments and bond assessments, if any, now due or assessed on
said property pursuant to Sections 4986 and 4986.2 of the
Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of California.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the City Clerk shall submit
this resolution to the City Attorney for his endorsed

Taxation Code, and shall thereafter forward a certified copy
thereof to the Board of Supervisors and to the County Audi-
tor of Los Angeles County.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of February, 1959.

Consent is hereby given to the cancellation of taxes,
special assessments and bond assessments collectible by
County officers on behalf of the City of Baldwin Park from
the foregoing described property.
