RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA,
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE
CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN SEWER WORK IN
CHEVALIER AVENUE AND OTHER STREETS IN
THE CITY OP BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA;
DECLARING THE WORK TO BE OP MORE THAN
LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEFIT;
DESCRIBING THE DISTRICT TO BE BENEFITED
BY SAID WORK AND TO BE ASSESSED TO PAY
THE COST AND EXPENSE THEREOF; DETER-
MINING THAT BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO
REPRESENT ASSESSMENTS TO BE LEVIED;
AND FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR
HEARING PROTESTS AND OBJECTIONS TO
SAID WORK OR THE EXTENT OF THE
DISTRICT TO BE ASSESSED, OR BOTH,
AND GIVING NOTICE THEREOF.

WHEREAS, tnis City Council proposes, as hereinafter
more particularly set forth, to take proceedings under the
Improvement Act of 1911, Division 7 of the Streets and High-
ways Code, for the construction of certain work or improve-
ment in the City of Baldwin Park;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Baldwin park, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND
ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That the public interest and conven-
ience require and that it is the intention of the City Council
of said City of Baldwin Park to order the following work to
be done or improvement to be made in the City of Baldwin Park,
to wit:

appurtenances and appurtenant work on
CHEVALIER AVENUE
JEREMIE AVENUE and
CENTRAL AVENUE
between the southeast line of vineland Avenue and Depot
Avenue; on
VIRGINIA AVENUE
between Central Avenue and the northwesterly prolongation
of the northeasterly line of Lot 37, Tract No. 7562, recorded
in Map Book 73, pages 76-77^ Official Records of Los Angeles
County.
Section 2. That all the aforesaid work and improve-
ment shall be constructed at the grades, along the lines, be-
tween the points, of the dimensions, at the places and in the
manner shown on the plans which include profiles and detailed
drawings) for the said work, designated Plan No, 1958-10,"
consisting of four sheets numbered 2 to 5^ inclusive, and in
accordance with said plans and with the specifications for
said work, which are designated Specifications No, 1958-10."
Said plans and specifications have heretofore been approved
by the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park and are on
file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Baldwin
Park in the City Hall in said City of Baldwin Park, and refer-
ence is hereby made to said plans and specifications for the
full and detailed description of said proposed work and for a

The estimated cost of said work or Improvement, inclusive
of incidental expense of the proceedings, is the sum of
$28,371<30.
Section 3. That in the opinion of this City
Council the said contemplated work is of more than local
or ordinary public benefit and this City Council hereby
makes the expense of said work chargeable upon a district,
which district this City Council hereby declares to be the
district benefited by the said work and to be assessed to
pay the cost and expense thereof. For a description of
said district reference is hereby made to a plat or map of
said district heretofore approved by this City Council on
file in the office of the said City Clerk and designated
Map of Assessment District No, 1958-10,ll which map or
plat indicates by a boundary line the extent of the
territory included in the said proposed district and shall
govern for all details as to the extent of said assessment
district.
Section 4. That serial bonds bearing interest
at the rate of six per cent 6$6) per annum shall be issued
to represent each assessment of fifty dollars $50) or over
remaining unpaid for thirty 30) days after the date of
recordation of the warrant. Said serial bonds shall extend
over a period ending nine 9) years from the second day of
January next succeeding the next Obtober 15th following
their date. Said bonds shall contain redemption provisions
providing for a permlum of five 5) percent of the unpaid

1959 045 CC RESOxJ × È principal pursuant to Section 6464 of the Streets and High-
ways Code, Said bonds are issued pursuant to and as provided
in the Improvement Act of 1911^ Division 7 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California.
Section 5, That the said proposed work Is to be
done under and proceedings therefor are to be under and pur-
suant to the said Improvement Act of 1911,
Section 6. That notice is hereby given that the
ISthday of June, 1959^ at the hour of 8:00 o^lock P.M.
are the day and hour when, and the New Council Chambers of
this City Council in the New City Hall, 14403 E. Pacific
Avenue, in said City of Baldwin park is the place where any
and all persons having any protest or objection to said
proposed work to to the extent of said assessment district,
or to the proposed grades, may appear before the City Council
of said City of Baldwin Park and show cause why said proposed
work should not be carried out in accordance with this resolu-
tion of intention, protests or objections must be in writing
and must be delivered to the City Clerk of said City of
Baldwin Park not later than the hour herein set for hearing
protests or objections•
Section J. The BALDWIN PARK BULLETIN, a newspaper
of general circulation, published and circulated In the County
of Los Angeles, there being no newspaper printed and published
In the City of Baldwin park, is hereby selected as the news-
paper in which this resolution shall be published and, except
when otherwise ordered by this City Council, in which all

resolution of intention shall be made. The said City
Clerk is hereby directed to certify to the adoption of
this resolution and to cause said resolution to be pub-
lished in the manner provided by law.
Section 8. That said City Clerk is hereby directed
to mail notices of the adoption of this resolution as provided
in said Improvement Act of 1911.» postage prepaid, to all per-
sons owning real property which is proposed to be assessed to
pay any part of the cost of said work, whose names and addresses
appear on the last equalized assessment roll or as known to the
said City Clerk, including the mailing of such notices to every
owner of property assessed by the State under Section 14 of
Article XIII of the Constitution at the address thereof shown
on the last board roll transmitted to the County Auditor.
Section 9< The superintendent of Streets of the
said City of Baldwin park is hereby directed to cause to be
conspicuously posted along the line of the contemplated work
and on all open streets within the said assessment district
notices of the passage of this resolution in the time, form
and manner provided by law.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 18th day of
