RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, CALI-
FORNIA^ DETERMINING THE GENERAL
PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES
FOR LEGAL HOLIDAY AND OVERTIME
WORK IN SAID CITY FOR CERTAIN
CRAFTS OR TYPES OF WORKMEN.

WHEREAS, this City Council has by its Resolution
No. 59*54_____ ordered certain worK or improvement, said
work or improvement being more particularly described in its
resolution of intention. Resolution No. 59-^5^ and shown on
plans which include profiles and detailed drawings) designated
Plan No. 1958-10" on file in the office of the City Cler^
of said city, and described in specifications designated
SpecifJcations No. 1958-10," also on file in tne office
of said City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has ascertained the general
prevail;ng rate of per diem wa^es in the locality in whicn said
worK is to oe performed for eacn craft or type of workman needed
to execute the contract for said work, and this City Council
has ascertained the general prevailing rate for legal holiday
and overtime worK in said locality for each craft or type of
workman needed to execute said contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Baldwin park, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE
AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That the general prevailing rate of per
diem wa^e& in the locality in which said worK is to DC performed
for each craft or type of wor/cman needed to execute the contract
for said worK is determined to oe as follows, to wit:

shall be paid not less than 25 cents per hour more
than the hourly rate of the highest classification
over which he has supervision.
PROVIDED^ that one and one-half 1-1/2) times
the said prevailing rate of wages shall be paid for any
working time more than eight 8) hours during any one
calendar day. FURTHER PROVIDED, that two 2) times the
said prevailing rate of wages shall be paid for any work-
ing time on Sundays and the seven 7) legal holidays, to
wit: New year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor
Day, Veberans* Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

be specified in the call for bids for said contract and
in the contract itself.
