A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK GRANTING A ZONE
EXCEPTION TO JOHN DeWITT TO ERECT AN
ADDITION TO HIS SERVICE STATION AT 13800
EAST LOS ANGELES STREET.
WHEREAS, John DeWItt operates an automobile service
station at 13800 East Los Angeles Street, In the City of Bald-
win Park, County of Los Angeles, State of California, on real
property described as follows;
Lot 5, Tract 13018, as recorded in Map Book
270, page 36, in the Office of the County Re-
corder of said Los Angeles County;
and
WHEREAS, said property is zoned C-l and automobile
service stations are not permitted in such zone; and
WHEREAS, said John DeWItt desires permission to
erect a canopy type addition to said service station; and
WHEREAS, he has applied for an exception permitting
him to erect such canopy; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission duly held a public
hearing on said exception after giving requisite notice there-
of and has recommended that the exception be granted, subject
to certain conditions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has duly held a public
hearing on the granting of said exception after giving re-
quisite notice thereof,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park does resolve as follows:
Section 1. That said John DeWItt is hereby granted
an exception from the zoning provisions of the Baldwin Park
Municipal Code permitting him to erect a canopy type addition
to his said automobile service station at 13800 East Los
Angeles Street.

dition that the lights on the premises shall be arranged so
as to reflect the light away from any adjoining residential
premises.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 15th day of July____^
1959.
