Bonelli has advocated a plan whereby a more equitable apportionment of the California Senate can be realized, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park is cognizant of the proposal and has studied the matter in some detail, and WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park as well as all of Southern California would profit by such a reapportionment by having a more representative voice in the State Legislature, and WHEREAS, it is generally conceded that the urban areas of our State have long been grossly under represented due to the heavy concentration of population in ow cities, NCW, THEREFOEE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does resolve as follows: Section 1. Hie City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby endorse Supervisor Bonelli<s plan for reapportiomaent of the California Senate, and urge that the necessary steps be taken to place this question on the ballot in the General Election of November 8, I960.
