A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OP
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DECLARING
ITS INTENTION TO VACATE PORTIONS OF
MERGED AVENUE IN THE CITY OF BALDWIN
PARK.
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the public interest, necessity
and welfare require and it is the intention cf the City
Council of the City of Baldwin Park to vacate portions
of Merced Avenue as follows;
PARCEL #1:
A strip of land 20 feet in width and 66
feet in length; being the most easterly 20
feet of the north one-half of Lot 106, Tract
No. 4624, as per Book 68, Page 33 of Maps,
recorded in the Office of the County Recorder,
County of Los Angeles, State of California,
EXCEPT the most easterly 10 feet thereof.
PARCEL #2:
A strip of land 20 feet in width and 77
feet in length, in the City of Baldwin Park,
County of Los Angeles, State of California;
being the most westerly 20 feet of the southerly
77 feet of Lot 113, Tract No. 4624, as per map
recorded in Book 68, Page 33 of Maps, in the
Office of the County Recorder of said County,
EXCEPT the most westerly 10 feet thereof.
Section 2. That reference is hereby made to
Map Nos. V-59-6 and V-59-7, heretofore adopted by this
City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk,
for further particulars of this proposed vacation.
Section 3- That notice is given that on Monday,
the fifth day of October, 1959^ at 8:00 p.m., in the
Council Chamber of the City Hall, 14403 East Pacific
Avenue, in the City of Baldwin Park, any and all persons
interested or objecting to the proposed vacation of said
portions of Merced Avenue, may appear before said City
Council and be heard or show cause why said vacation
should not be carried out in accordance with this reso-
lution of Intention.

1959 098 CC RESOxJ × f Section 4. That the proceedings for said vacations
shall be had and taken under and in accordance with the
provisions of the Vacation Act of 1941."
Section 5. That the City Engineer of said City
shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the portions
of Merced Avenue proposed to be vacated, notice of street
vacation in the time, manner and form required by said
Act.
Section 6. The City Clerk is directed to publish
this resolution of intention not later than September
l8j 1959, once in the Baldwin Park Bulletin or San Gabriel
Valley Tribune.
