A RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT PROCEEDINGS HAVE
BEEN INITIATED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OP THE
CITY OP BALDWIN PARK TO ANNEX TO SAID CITY
CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HERE-
IN AND DESIGNATED ANNEXATION NO. 6," AND
GIVING NOTICE OP THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OP THE CITY OF BALD-
WIN PARK:
1, That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation
of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, proceedings have been
initiated by the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park, on
Its own motion, to annex to the City of Baldwin Park all that
uninhabited territory situated in the County of Los Angeles,
State of California, hereby designated as Annexation No. 6"
and described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the boundary of the City
of Baldwin Park, as same existed on August 5, 1959,
said point being distant thereon South 51° 30' 00"
East 57.19 feet from the most westerly corner of the
parcel of land conveyed to the State of California by
deed recorded August l6, 1956 in Book 52044, page 156
of Official Records, in the office of the Recorder of
the County of Los Angeles; thence South 31° 05' 38"
East 38.00 feet; thence South 35° 10^ 00" East 46.17
feet to a point on a curve, concave southerly and hav-
ing a radius of 45 feet, in the boundary of Tract
No. 19500 as shown on map recorded in Book 532, pages
39 to 43 inclusive of Maps, in the office of said re-
corder; thence from a tangent bearing South 87° 07l
07" West, westerly and southwesterly along said curve
through an angle of 33° 15' 15" an arc distance of
26,12 feet to a point of reverse curve; thence south-
westerly and westerly along a tangent curve in said
last mentioned boundary, concave northerly and having
a radius of 72 feet, through an angle of 59° 12' 21"
an arc distance of 74.40 feet to the most easterly
corner of the parcel of land conveyed to the State of
California by deed recorded June 22, 1956 in Book
51532, page 401 of said Official Records; thence from
a tangent bearing North 29° 35l 56" East, northeasterly,
northerly and northwesterly along a curve concave
westerly and having a radius of 117.86 feet, through
an angle of 71° II1 02" an arc distance of 146.43 feet;
thence North 51° 461 45" West 179.96 feet; thence
northwesterly and westerly along a tangent curve, con-
cave southwesterly and having a radius of 266.00 feet,
through an angle of 31° 061 07" an arc distance of
144.39 feet; thence North 79° 56' 02" East 53.78 feet
to a point in the boundary of said city distant north-
westerly thereon 49.25 feet from the most southerly
corner of the parcel of land conveyed to the State of
California by deed recorded October 20, 1943 In Book
20347, page 217 of said Official Records; thence south-
easterly along said last mentioned boundary to the
point of beginning.

1959 099 CC RESOxJ × m 2. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
desires to annex said uninhabited territory to the City of
Baldwin Park for the following reasons: The territory is con-
tiguous to the City of Baldwin Park, and its proposed annexa-
tion will contribute to and facilitate the orderly growth and
development of both the City and the territory proposed to be
annexed; will facilitate and contribute to the proper and order-
ly layout, design and construction of streets, gutters, side-
walks, sanitary and storm water sewers and drainage facilities,
both within the City and within the territory proposed to be
annexed; and will provide and facilitate proper overall plan-
ning and zoning of lands, and subdivision of lands in said
City and said uninhabited territory, in a. manner most conducive
to the welfare of said City and said uninhabited territory.
3. That the County Boundary Commission of Los Angeles
County, California, did in session duly assembled on August 12,
1959, approve the proposed annexation boundaries of said
Annexation No. 6" as above described, and as submitted to said
Commission by the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park.
4« That Nowttber 2 1959< at the hour of 8;00 p.m., in
the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Baldwin
Park, County of Los Angeles, California, is hereby fixed as
the time and place when and where any person owning real prop-
erty within the uninhabited territory above described and pro-
posed to be annexed to the City of Baldwin Park, and having any
objections to the proposed annexation, may appear before the
City Council of the City of Baldwin Park and show cause why
such uninhabited territory should not be so annexed to said
City of Baldwin Park. Such protest must be in writing, may
be filed at any time before the hour set for hearing objections
to the proposed annexation, and shall state the name or names
of the owner or owners of property affected, and the description
and area of such property, in general terms.
5. The City Clerk of the City of Baldwin Park is here-
by authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resolution
to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a

general circulation published outside the City of Baldwin
Park but in the County of Los Angeles, California, the
county in which is located the territory proposed to be
annexed to the City of Baldwin Park, said publication to
be complete at least twenty 20) days prior to the date
set for hearing.
6. The City Clerk is further authorized and di-
rected to post copies of this resolution in three con-
spicuous places in the territory to be annexed and to
cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be
mailed to each person to whom land within the territory
proposed to be annexed is assessed in the last equalized
county assessment roll available on the date the above
said proceedings were initiated, at the addresses shown
on said assessment roll or known to the Clerk, and to
any person who has filed his name and address and the
designation of the lands in which he has an interest,
either legal or equitable, with the Clerk, such notice
to be given not less than twenty 20) days before the
first public hearing on the proposed annexation.
7. In the event any land within the territory
proposed to be annexed is owned by a county, the City
Clerk is directed to cause written notice of such pro-
posed annexation to be mailed to the Board of Super-
visors of the county, such notice to be given not less
than twenty 20) days before the first public hearing
on the proposed annexation.
8. In the event there is, upon the land pro-
posed to be annexed, a structural Improvement owned,
being acquired or leased by a county fire protection
district, the said Clerk Is directed to cause written
notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the
governing body of such district, such notice to be sent
not less than ten 10) days before the first public hear-

10. The City Clerk is directed to cause written
notice to be given to such other persons as may be legally
entitled thereto, in the manner required by law.
