RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED
ANNEXATION TO CITY OF BALDWIN PARK OP
UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN
AND DESIGNATED PROPOSED ANNEXATION
NO. 9,'1 AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND
PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS THERETO.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK:
1. That, pursuant to fche provisions of the Annexa-
tion of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939^ a petition
signed by owners of not less than one-fourth of the land
in the hereinafter described territory, by area and by
assessed value as shown on fche last equalized assessment
roll of the County of Los Angeles, was filed with the City
Council of the City of Baldwin Park on November 2, 1959,
requesting annexation of the hereinafter described terri-
tory to said City.
2. That the territory which the petitioners re-
quest be annexed to the City of Baldwin Park and which said
City and its Council propose to annex, is situated in the
County of Los Angeles, State of California, hereby designated
Proposed Annexation No. 9/1 and described as follows:
That portion of Lot 48 of Tract 718, in fche
County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per
map recorded, in Book IY, Page 17 of Maps, in the
office of the County Recorder of said counfcy,
described as follows:
Beginning afc a point in the northeasterly line
of said lot distant thereon South Sl^'l^" East,
57 42 feet from fche mosfc northerly corner of said
lot; fchence along said northeasterly line South 51°
33'i4" East, 869.94 feet to the most easterly cor-
ner of said lot; thence along the southeasterly
line of said lofc, Soufch 38°29'34" Wesfc, 85.00 feefc
to a point which is distant along said soufcheasfcerly
line Norfch 38029134" Easfc, 61.38 feefc from fche in-
tersection of said southeasterly line with the
northerly sideline of the land conveyed to fche Los
Angeles Counfcy Flood Confcrol Disfcricfc in Parcel
116 in a final Order of Condemnafcion had in Superior
Court Case No. 625315^ a certified copy of which is

is parallel with and distant southerly 35 feet,
measured at right angles, from said northerly side-
lines; thence along said last described parallel

which is at right angles to said northerly side-
line and passes through a point in said northerly

251.49 feet from the Intersection of said north-
erly sideline with the southeasterly line of said

219.16 feet to an angle point in said northerly
sideline; thence along the boundary of the land
conveyed in said Parcel 116, North 7°52'21" West,
100.00 feet to the northerly line of the strip of
land 500 feet wide as described in said Parcel
116; thence along said last mentioned northerly

intersection with the Southeasterly line of Lots
59 and 19, Tract 14056, as per map recorded in
Book 300, Page 24 of said Maps; thence along said

the most easterly corner of said Lot 19; thence

corner of Lot 18, said Tract 14056; thence North

3. That the County Boundary Commission of Los
Angeles County, California, did in session duly assembled
on October 27^ 1959^ consider the proposed annexation boun-
daries of said Proposed Annexation No. 9^" as above
described, and as submitted to said Commission by the pro-
ponents of said annexation,
4. That on the 7th day of December, 1959, at the
hour of 8:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall
of Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles, California, Is
hereby fixed as the time and place when and where

Z P H D8any person owning real property within the uninhabited ter-
ritory above described and proposed to be annexed to the
City of Baldwin Park, and having any objections to the pro-
posed annexation, may appear before the Council of the City
of Baldwin Park and show cause why such uninhabited terri-
tory should not be so annexed to the City of Baldwin Park.
The protest must be in writing, may be filed at any time
before the hour set for hearing objections to the proposed
annexation, and shall state the name or names of the owner
or owners of property affected and the description and area
of such property, in general terms,
5. The City Clerk of the City of Baldwin Park is
hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this
resolution to be published at least twice, but not oftener
than once a week, in the Baldwin Park Banner News, a news-
paper of general circulation published in said City of
Baldwin Park, the city to which it is proposed to annex the
aforesaid territory, said publication to be complete at
least twenty 20) days prior to the date set for hearing.
6. In the event there Is, upon the land proposed
to be annexed to said City, a structural improvement owned,
being acquired or leased by a county fire protection dis-
trict, the City Clerk is directed to cause written notice
of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the governing
body of such district, such notice to be sent not less than
ten 10) days before the first public hearing upon such
proposed annexation.
7. The City Clerk is directed to cause written
notice to be given to such other persons as may be legally
