BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK: 1. That, pursuant to fche provisions of the Annexa- tion of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939^ a petition signed by owners of not less than one-fourth of the land in the hereinafter described territory, by area and by assessed value as shown on fche last equalized assessment roll of the County of Los Angeles, was filed with the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park on November 2, 1959, requesting annexation of the hereinafter described terri- tory to said City. 2. That the County Boundary Commission of Los Angeles County, California, did in session duly assembled on October 27^ 1959^ consider the proposed annexation boun- daries of said Proposed Annexation No. 9^" as above described, and as submitted to said Commission by the pro- ponents of said annexation, 4. That on the 7th day of December, 1959, at the hour of 8:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles, California, Is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where 2- BIB] 38238-U01 1959-U02 114-U02 CC-U02 RESO-U02 LI3-U03 FO52524-U03 FO52525-U03 DO52535-U03 C6-U03 RESO-U03 9/7/2004-U04 ROBIN-U04 1959 114 CC RESO ZX ZPHD8any person owning real property within the uninhabited ter- ritory above described and proposed to be annexed to the City of Baldwin Park, and having any objections to the pro- posed annexation, may appear before the Council of the City of Baldwin Park and show cause why such uninhabited terri- tory should not be so annexed to the City of Baldwin Park. The protest must be in writing, may be filed at any time before the hour set for hearing objections to the proposed annexation, and shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of property affected and the description and area of such property, in general terms, 5. The City Clerk of the City of Baldwin Park is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, in the Baldwin Park Banner News, a news- paper of general circulation published in said City of Baldwin Park, the city to which it is proposed to annex the aforesaid territory, said publication to be complete at least twenty 20) days prior to the date set for hearing. 6. In the event there Is, upon the land proposed to be annexed to said City, a structural improvement owned, being acquired or leased by a county fire protection dis- trict, the City Clerk is directed to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the governing body of such district, such notice to be sent not less than ten 10) days before the first public hearing upon such proposed annexation. 7.
