CITI OF BALDWIN PARK URGING DEIAI IN fflE
CONSOLHUITION OF ALL MUNICIPAL COURIS IN
LCB ANGELES COUNT!.
WHEREAS, a plan to consolidate all Municipal Courts
within this County into one Los Angeles Cowity Municipal Court
has been submitted to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors
for consideration 5 and
HHEREAS, any major change in the present structure of the
Municipal Courts is of vital concern to the people of our City; and
WHEREAS, this consnunity has not been given an opportunity
to study the proposal, and
WHEREAS, there is a lack of available information pertain-
ing to this proposal*
NOW, BiEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Baldwin Park does hereby oppose at this time any change in
judicial structure that would affect our local Municipal Court.
BE IT FURffiER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
forwarded to each member of the Board of Supervisors prior to their
December l^y 1959 meeting,
