A RESOLUTION OP THE CITY COUNCIL OP
THE CITY OP BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA,
ORDERING, CALLINO, PROVIDING FOR AND
CUVING NOTICE OF A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON
TUESDAY, MARCH 1, 1960, FOR THE PUR-
POSE OP SUBMITTING TO THE QUALIFIED
VOTERS OF SAID CITY A PROPOSITION
FOR THE ISSUANCE OF SEWER REVENUE
BONDS OP SAID CITY.
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park,
California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as
follows:
Section 1. That a special election be held and
the same is hereby called to be held in the City of Baldwin
Park, California, on Tuesday, the 1st day of March, 1960,
for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of said
city the proposition of Issuing sewer revenue bonds pursuant
to the Revenue Bond Law of 19^1 Chapter 6, Part 1, Divl&ion
2, Title 5 of the Government Code of the State of California)
in the amount and for the objects and purposes hereinafter
set forth, including all expenses Incidental thereto or
connected therewith•

Indebtedness is to be incturfed and revenue bondtB issued
therefor is as follows:
The acquisition, construction and financing of
extensions, enlargements and improvements of the sewer
system of the City of Baldwin Park, including Intercepting,

lateral and other sewers and appurtenances and work
appurtenant thereto and the acquisition of land,
easements, rights of way and other property neces-
sary therefor, and Including all engineering, Inspection
and legal fees, costs of the Issuance of said revenue
bonds, bond reserve funds and working capital and
bond interest estimated to accrue during the con-
struction period and for a period of not to exceed
twelve months after completion of construction
and other costs and expenses incidental to or
connected with such acquisition, construction and
financing *
Section 3. That the estimated cost of such acquisition,
construction and financing is 5^800,000. That the principal
amount of the bonds proposed^ to be issued is $5^200,000. That
the maximum rate of interest to be paid on said bonds shall
not exceed the maximum rate permltted^by law, to wit, six
per cent 6$<) per annum, payable annually for the first year
and semlannually thereafter, the actual rate or rates of
Interest on said bonds to be determined at or prior to the
time of the sale or sales thereof.
Section 4. That if the proposition for the incurring
of bonded indebtedness so submitted receives the requisite
number of votes, to wit, the votes of a majority of all the
voters voting on the proposition, revenue bonds as provided
herein in not exceeding the principal amount stated in such
proposition shall be issued and sold for the purpose set forth
herein. Said bonds are to be revenue bonds payable exclusively

Z P H 8from the revenues of the enterprise and are not to be
secured by the taxing power of the City of Baldwin Park.
Section 5. That the enterprise referred to herein
is defined to be the entire sewer system of the City of
Baldwin Park for the collection and disposal of sewage,
Including, without limitation, all parts thereof whether
presently owned by the city or to be acquired, constructed
and financed with funds derived from the revenue bonds
herein proposed to be Issued and Including all improvements and
extensions later constructed or acquired,
Section 6. That the polls for said election shall
be opened at seven o1clock A.M., of the day of said election
and shall remain open continuously from said time until seven
o'clock P.M., of the same day, when said polls shall be
closed, except as provided in Section 573^ of the Elections
Code of the State of California.
Section 7. That on the ballots to be used at said
special election, in addition to any other matter required
by law, there shall be printed substmtially the following:

return it to the inspector of election and obtain
another.

shall be counted in favor of the adoption of the proposi-

Section 9. That for the purpose of holding
said special election there shall be and hereby are
established twenty-two 22) consolidated voting precincts
designated as hereinafter stated. Each such consolidated
voting precinct shall consist of regular election pre-
cincts in the City of Baldwin Park of the numbers hereinafter

date of adoption of this resolution. That the polling
places for the respective precincts shall be the places
hereinafter designated; and that the persons hereinafter
named, being competent and qualified electors and residents
of said City and of their respective voting precincts,

tion and make return thereof in the manner provided by law.
