A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE-CITY OF BALDWIN PARK GRANT-
ING A ZONE EXCEPTION TO GEORGE W.
JEFFRIES TO ERECT A SIGN LARGER
THAN PERMITTED AT FRANCISQUITO AND
PUENTE AVENUES, ZONE EXCEPTION
CASE ZE-31.
WHEREAS, George W. Jeffries owns real property
in the vicinity of the northeast corner of Francisquito
and Puenfce Avenues, in the City of Baldwin Park, County
of Los Angeles, State of California, legally described
as follows:
That portion of Lot 32 of El Monte Walnut
Place, Map Book 6, page 104, described as fol-
lows:
Commencing at the Intersection of the
centerline of Puente Avenue with the center-
line of Francisquito Avenue; thence South 48
deg. 27 min. 40 sec. East along said center-
line of Francisquito Avenue, 460.50 feet,
thence North 41 deg. 27 min. 40 sec. East, 40
ft. to the true point of beginning; thence
North 41 deg. 27 min, 40 sec. East, 575.00
feet; thence North 48 deg. 27 min. 40 sec.
West, 410.50 feet to a line parallel with and
distant southeasterly 50 ft»^ measured at
right angles, from the center line of Puente
Avenue; thence South 41 deg. 32 min. 15 sec.
West along said parallel line, 425 feet;
thence South 48 deg. 27 min. 40 sec. East,
150 feet; thence South 4l deg. 25 min. 15 sec.
West 150 feet; thence South 48 deg. 27 min.
40 sec. East 260,50 feet to the true point of
beginning;
and
WHEREAS, said property is zoned C-l; and
WHEREAS, said George W. Jeffries desires to erect
a sign larger than that permitted by the zoning regulations
applicable to C-l property; and
WHEREAS, he has applied for an exception permit-
ting him to erect such sign; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission duly held a
public hearing on said exception after giving requisite
notice thereof and has recommended that the exception be

WHEREAS, the City Council duly held a public
hearing on the granting of said exception after giving
requisite notice thereof,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City
of Baldwin Park does resolve as follows:
Section 1. That said George W. Jeffries is
hereby granted an exception from the zoning provisions of
the Baldwin Park Municipal Code permitting him to erect
two signs on the above described property, approximately
135 and 412 square feet in size, to be located and faced
substantially as shown on exhibits filed with the Plan-
ning Commission,
Section 2. That said exception is granted on
condition that the owner of the property affected file
an affidavit at the office of the Planning Department
that he is aware of and accepts the conditions of the ex-
ception and that if any provision of the exception is
violated or held to be invalid, or if any law, statute,
or ordinance is violated, the exception shall be void and
shall lapse.
ADOPTED by the City Council, signed by the Mayor,

65804 of the Government Code of the State of California,
