A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK GRANT-
ING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO SHELL
OIL COMPANY TO ERECT BULK PLANT
FACILITY ON JOANBRIDGE STREET
APPROXIMATELY 6?0 FEET EAST OF
MAINE AVENUE, ZONE CASE NO. Z-75.
WHEREAS, Shell Oil Company has applied for a
special use permit to erect a 5^380 barrel bulk plant
facility for the storage of petroleum products on prop-
erty located 670 feet east of Maine Avenue, on Joanbridge
Street, In the City of Baldwin Park, County of Los
Angeles, State of California, described as follows:
Lot commencing East on center line of
Joanbridge Street, 670.45 feet from center
line of Maine Avenue; thence East on said
center line of Joanbridge Street 131.98 feet,
with a uniform depth of 230 feet North. Part
of North 1/2 of Northwest 1/4 of Northwest 1/4
of Section 8, Township 1 South, Range 10 West;
and
WHEREAS, said property is zoned M-l and is con-
tiguous to M-l property on all sides; and
WHEREAS, the zoning ordinance requires a special
use permit for such facility; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has duly held a
public hearing on said application, after giving requisite
notice thereof, and has recommended that the special use
permit be granted; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after requisite notice,
has duly held a public hearing on the granting of said
special use permit,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park does resolve as follows:
Section 1. That Shell Oil Company Is granted a
special use permit to erect a bulk plant facility on
the above-described property for the storage of petroleum

Z P I 8products, having a total ultimate capacity of not to ex-
ceed 5,380 barrels and consisting of four 4) 25,000
gallon tanks, two 2) 25,000 gallon tanks, two 2) 12,000
gallon tanks, seven 7) 6,000 gallon underground tanks,
and one l) 10,000 gallon underground tank, said facility
to be constructed In accordance with revised plot plan,
marked Exhibit A", on file In the office of the City
Clerk.
Section 2. That this permit Is granted subject
to compliance with all governmental ordinances. Statutes,
rules and regulations, and Inspections by the City Engin-
eering and Building Departments.
ADOPTED by the City Council, signed by the Mayor,
