A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK GRANTING
EXTRA VACATION ALLOWANCE TO CERTAIN
EMPLOYEES DURING 1960-61.
WHEREAS, in July, 1959, the City Council limited the
accumulation of vacation time to twenty-one 21) calendar
days; and
WHEREAS, the previous limitation had been thirty 30)
working days; and
WHEREAS, several employees were at or close to the
reduced limit when it went into effect, and, consequently,
were unable thereafter to accumulate much of the vacation
time they would otherwise have been able to accumulate dur-
ing fiscal year 1959-60; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to rectify this
inequity,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park does resolve as follows:
Section 1. That during fiscal year 1960-61, any of-
ficer or employee of the City who failed to accumulate vaca-
tion allowance during fiscal year 1959-60 because of the
twenty-one 21) day limitation, shall be credited with an
extra day of vacation allowance for each day of vacation
allowance earned during fiscal year 1960-61 until the extra
vacation credits aggregate the number of vacation days lost
during fiscal year 1959-60.
Section 2, That said extra vacation credits may be
accumulated in excess of any existing limitation on vacation
allowance but must be used during fiscal year 1960-61. Any

forfeited.
ADOPTED by the City Council, signed by the Mayor,
and attested by the City Clerk this____23rd___________
