RESOLUTION GRANTING CONSENT AND JURIS-
DICTION TO THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES
IN THE MATTER OF COUNTY LIGHTING
MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1744 PETITION
NO. 116-129
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles is
about to commence proceedings under Division 7 of the Streets and Highways
Code, for the annexation of territory to County Lighting Maintenance District
No. 1744; and
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation will have street lights installed
in the City of Baldwin Park; and
WHEREAS, all of the land included in the proposed annexation lies
within the boundary of the City of Baldwin Park,
NCW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park as follows:
SECTION I
That the public interest, convenience and necessity require the
maintenance of a street lighting system located within said territory as
shown on the maps of the annexation to County Lighting Maintenance District
No, 1744 approved by the County Boundary Commission on the 20th day of July,
1960, and on file in the office of the Road Commissioner, and as set forth in
the proposed Resolution of Intention of the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Los Angeles for this annexation, a copy of which resolution, incomplete as
to dates and similar information which can only be inserted at the time of
adoption, is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
ACTION
That this City Council hereby consents to the annexation of said
territory as described in said proposed Resolution of Intention, included within
the boundaries of said annexation, and lying within the boundary of the City of
Baldwin Park.
SECTION 3
That this City Council hereby finds and determines that the lands in-
cluded within the boundary of the proposed annexation as set forth in said
proposed Resolution of Intention, lying within the boundary of the City of
Baldwin Park, will be benefited by the said proposed annexation to the main-
tenance district, and hereby consents to the inclusion of said lands within
the proposed annexation and to the assessment thereof.

That the consent of this City Council is hereby given to the commence-
ment of the proceedings for said annexation to County Lighting Maintenance District
No. 1744 by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles, and to the
exercise of exclusive Jurisdiction of said Board of Supervisors over all proceed-
ings necessary thereto for the purpose of consummating the same, all in accordance
with the provisions of Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code.
SECTION 5
That the Clerk of the City Council Is hereby directed to certify and
deliver two copies of this Resolution to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Los Angeles,
SECTION 6
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolution by the
City Council of the City of Baldwin Park and shall cause the same to be posted
in three 5) conspicuous places in the City of Baldwin Park, and it shall there-
upon take effect.
ADOPTED by the City Council, signed by the Mayor, and attested by
the City Clerk this 25rd day of August. 1960.
