HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960 103 CC RESO1960 103 CC RESOxJêžRESOLUTION NO. 60-103 A RESOLUTION OP THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK GRANTING A ZONE EXCEPTION TO GRACE SARRAIL TO ESTABLISH A MOBILE HOME COURT AND A COMMERCIAL LAUNDROMAT ON PROPERTY AT 13972 EAST FRANCISQUITO AVENUE, ADJACENT TO THE SOUTHEAST SIDE OF WALNUT CREEK WASH, ZONE CASE NO. ZE-35 WHEREAS, Grace Sarrail desires to establish a mobile home court and a commercial laundromat at 13972 East Francisqulto Avenue, adjacent to the southeast side of Walnut Creek Wash, in the City of Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles, State of California, on real property zoned R-l and described as: Parcel 1. That portion of Lot 24 of El Monte Walnut Place in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, as shown on map recorded in Book 6, page 104 of Maps, in the office of the Recorder of said county, and that portion of Francisquito Avenue as shown on said map, described as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the northeasterly prolongation of the southeasterly line of said Lot 24 with the center line of said Francisquito Avenue, shown as 60 feet wide on said map; thence along said center line. North 48 deg. 43 min 49 seconds West 125.81 feet to the true point of beginning; thence South 4l degrees l6 minutes 11 seconds West 432.86 feet; thence parallel with said center line North 48 degrees 43 minutes 49 seconds West to the easterly line of that land shown as Parcel 137" in a Final Order of Con- demnation had In Superior Court Case No. 626,015, a certified copy of which is recorded In Book 48177, page 432 of Official Records, in the office of said recorder and which easterly line is on a curve concave to the northwest and has a radius of 3150 feet and is shown on County Surveyor's Map B-2407-1, said map being filed in the office of the County Surveyor of said county; thence north- erly along said easterly line to a point in said center line, distant thereon. North 48 degrees 43 minutes 49 seconds West 314.06 feet from the point of commencement; thence along said center line. South 48 degrees 43 minutes 49 seconds East 188.25 feet to the true point of beginning. Parcel 2. That portion of that part of Lot 24 El Monte Walnut Place, as shown on map recorded in Book 6, page 104 of Maps, in the office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles and that portion of that part of the 1- BIB] 38401-U01 1960-U02 103-U02 CC-U02 RESO-U02 LI3-U03 FO52524-U03 FO52560-U03 DO62339-U03 C6-U03 RESO-U03 2/15/2005-U04 ROBIN-U04 1960 103 CC RESOxJêžsouthwest one-half of Francisqulto Avenue, 60 feet wide, as said avenue is shown on said map, described in Parcel 137" in a Final Order of Condemnation had in Superior Court Case No. 626,015, a certified copy of which is recorded in Book 48177, page 432, of Official Records, in the office of said Recorder, lying easterly of the following described line: Beginning at a point in the center line of said Avenue, distant along said center line North 48 degrees 43 minutes 49 seconds West 1296.15 feet from the center line of Puente Avenue, 60 feet wide, as said Puenfce Avenue is shown on said map, both said center lines being shown in County Surveyor's Field Book 520, pages 44 to 46, Inclusive, on file in the office of the Engineer of said County; thence South 56 degrees 53 minutes 31 seconds West 174.91 feet to a point in a non-tangent curve concave to the northwest and having a radius of 2350 feet, a radial line of said curve to said point bears South 48 degrees 09 minutes 37 seconds East; thence southwesterly along said curve 1130.58 feet to the end of said curve, a radial line of said curve through said end bears South 20 degrees 35 minutes 44 Seconds East; thence non-tangent to said curve South 69 degrees 18 minutes 49 seconds West 433.78 feet; thence South 56 degrees 52 minutes 15 Seconds West 126.15 feet; thence North 51 degrees 28 minutes 56 seconds West 44.90 feet to a point in the center line of Vineland Avenue, said point being distant along said center line South 38 degrees 31 minutes 04 seconds West 261.74 feet from the angle point in said center line, as said center line and angle point are shown in said County Surveyor's Field Book 520, page 49, and have applied for a zone exception permitting such use; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission duly held a public hearing thereon after giving requisite notice thereof and has recommended that the exception be granted, subject to certain conditions; and WHEREAS, the City Council duly held a public hearing on said zone exception after giving requisite notice thereof; and WHEREAS, there were no protests to the granting of said exception, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does find, determine and resolve as fol- lows: Seafcion 1. That the mobile home court and commercial laundromat be developed in accordance with a plan filed with the Planning Commission, marked Exhibit A"; 2. That all lights shall be deflected from the surrounding residential areas and shall meet with the approval of the City Engineer; 3. That proper drainage shall be provided subject to specifications and approved by the City Engineer; 4. That all walls, landscaping and Improve- ments shown on Exhibit A" shall be in- stalled before final Inspection Is made by the Building Superintendent and utili- ties are turned on; 5. That said exception shall terminate and become void should any condition thereof, or any statute or ordinance applicable thereto, be violated. Section 2, That said exception will not be materially detrimental to the public welfare nor to the property of other persons located in the vicinity, ADOPTED by the City Council, signed by the Mayor, and attested by the City Clerk this 2lst_____ day of November________, I960.
