REPORTS OF OFFICERS A. APPROVAL IN CONCEPT OF A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE BALDWIN PARK UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT TO IMPLEMENT A HEALTHY START PROGRAM AT THE FAMILY SERVICE CENTER Recommendation: Approve, in concept, the partnership with the Baldwin Park Unified School District to implement a Healthy Start program at the Family Service Center and to authorize staff to write a letter in support of the District's grant application. B. APPROVAL TO REDEDICATE THE BALDWIN PARK METROLINK STATION IN HONOR OF MR. CRUZ BACA Recommendation: Approve the rededication of the Baldwin Park Metrolink Station as the Cruz Baca TransCenter Baldwin Park and authorize staff to proceed with changing the signage and promoting the rededication. C. EXTENSION NO. 2 OF CONTRACT FOR GRANT CONSULTANT SERVICES Recommendation: Approve a four-month extension of the contract with Ms. Shauna dark. Consultant to provide the City and School District with assistance in pursuing grant funding opportunities and writing grant applications. D. BOGART AVENUE IMPROVEMENT ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 99-1 Recommendation: City Council conduct a public meeting for Bogart Avenue Improvements Assessment District 99-1 and receive public comments. E. BRONZE PLAQUE UNVEILING FOR THE FAMILY SERVICE CENTER Recommendation: City Council 1) Review or modify the design for final approval of the bronze plaque 2) authorize staff to purchase said plaque and direct staff to confirm March 2, 2001 as the target date for the unveiling. The unveiling will be incorporated with the Literacy Program.
