A. STATUS UPDATE DOWNTOWN MAIN STREET VISIONS DMSV)
PROPERTY BASED BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT PBID)
Recommendation: Receive the presentation on the results of the Petition
Drive Workshop and evaluate the options as provided by Downtown
Maine Street Visions, and
Proceed with the distribution of the Petition to all property owners
and then evaluate the level of interest;
Offer to widen Maine Avenue contingent upon the successful
passage of the Property Based Business Improvement District; or
Abandon the Project
Staff also recommends that the City Council approve the proposal from
Downtown Maine Street Visions in the amount of $5,875 for professional
services in researching the availability of government grants in relation to
the economic revitalization of our downtown. The funding source would
beAB 1693 funds.
