A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ORDERING THE CON-
STRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS PURSUANT
TO SECTION 5870, ET SEQ., OF THE STREETS
AND HIGHWAYS CODE 70-S-57, 58, 59 and 60)
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
hereby find, determine and declare as follows:
a) That pursuant to Section 5870, et seq., of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, the City Council has found that
more than fifty percent 50%) of the lots in the blocks designated as
follows:
1) Southeast side of Vineland Avenue between Central
Avenue and Pacific Avenue 70-S-57) curb, gutter,
sidewalk and drive approach)
2) South side of Garvey Avenue between Francisquito
Avenue and Vineland Avenue 70-S-58) curb and gutter)
3) West side of Bleecker Street between Nubia Street and
Joanbridge Street 70-S-59) curb and gutter)
4) South side of Olive Street between Merced Avenue and
Bresee Avenue 70-S-60) curb and gutter)
have in place, or guaranteed, curb, gutter, sidewalk and drive approach,
hereinafter, improvements", and;
b) That the City Council has initiated proceedings to cause the
construction of said improvements, within those areas, above described,
where the same have not been constructed/ and;
c) That no protests were filed at the time set for hearing
on said matter, and;
d) That the public interest, convenience and necessity require
the construction of said improvements.
SECTION 2. That the Superintendent of Streets is hereby ordered
to construct said improvements above described, in accordance with the
City's standard plans and specifications therefore, in the areas above
described, in which said improvements have not been constructed within
the time permitted by law. If said improvements are constructed by the
Superintendent of Streets, he shall prepare a Report of cost therefore,
as prescribed by law.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution and shall forward a copy hereof to the said Superintendent
1971.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of January_____'
