A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ESTABLISHING
HOLIDAYS FOR ALL CITY EMPLOYEES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That effective February 3, 1971, the
following days shall be deemed to be holidays for said City
of Baldwin Park:
1) January 1st;
2) the 3rd Monday in February;
3) the last Monday in May;
4) July 4th;
5) the 1st Monday in September;
6) September 9th, known as Admission Day";
7) the 4th Monday in October, known as
Veterans Day"?
8) December 25th;
9) Good Friday, from 12:00 Noon to 3:00 P.M.;
10) The day in November desi9nated as
Thanks'giving Day" 7
11) Such other days as may be designated as
holidays by the City Council of the
City of Baldwin Park;
12) If January 1st, July 4th, September 9th,
or December 25th, falls upon a Sunday, the
Monday following shall be deemed to be a
holiday; if any of the holidays designated
in this subparagraph falls on a Saturday,
the preceding Friday shall be deemed to be
a holiday.
SECTION 2. That all resolutions and regulations, or
any portion thereof, including but not limited to. Section
205 of the Personnel Rules and Regulations, inconsistent
herewith, are hereby repealed and rescinded.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify the
adoption of this Resolution and shall forward a certified
copy hereof to the City Manager,
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 3rd day of February
1971.
