A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ORDERING THE CON-
STRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS PURSUANT
TO SECTION 5870, DT SEQ. OF THE STREETS
AND HIGHWAYS CODE 71-".8, 10, tt, 12.
13, 14 and 15)
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does resolve as follows
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does ipr^l-y
find, determine and declare as follows:
a) That purusant to Section 5870, et seq., of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California/ the City Council has found that
more than fifty percent 50%) of the lots in the blocks designated as
follows:
1) North side of Olive Street between Landis Avenue and
Maine Avenue 71-S-8) curb and gutter)
2) North side of Olive Street between Eiton Street and
Fortin Street 71-S-10) curb and gutter)
5> South side of Olive Street between Walnut Street and
Merced Avenue 71-S-ll) sidewalk and drive approach)
4» South side of Olive Street between Stewart Avenue and
Edra Avenue 71-S-12) sidewalk and drive approach)
5) South side of Olive Street between Edra Avenue and
Baldwin Park Boulevard 71-S-13) curb/ gutter,
sidewalk and drive approach)
6> Northwest side of Frazier Street between Fairgrove
Street and Bess Avenue 71-S-14) curb, gutter, side-
walk and drive approach)
7) Northwest side of Puente Avenue between Franoisquito
Avenue and Dalewood Street 71-S-15) curb, gutter,
sidewalk and drive approach)
have in place, or guaranteed, curb, gutter, sidewalk and drive approach,
hereinafter, improvements", and;
b) That the City Council has initiated proceedings to cause the
construction of said improvements, within those areas, above described/
where the same have not been constructed, and;
c) That f protest was filed at the time set for hearing on
said matter, and s hereby overruled.
d) That the public interest, convenience and necessity require
the construction of said improvements.
SECTION 2, That the Superintendent of Streets is hereby ordered to
construct said improvements above described, in accordance with the City's
standard plans and specifications therefore,in the areas above described,
in which said improvements have not been constructed within the time per-
mitted by law. If said improvements are constructed by the Superintendent
of Streets, he shall prepare a Report of cost therefore, as prescribed by
law.
SECTION 3- That the City Clork shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution and shall forward a copy hereof to the said Superintendent.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTER this 3rdday of March______, 1971.
