A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK.DECLARING ITS IN-
TENTION TO CAUSE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN
IMPROVEMENT PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS
OF SECTION 5870, ET SEQ., OF THE STREETS
AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
71-S-17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23)
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
hereby find, determine and declare as follows:
a) That more than fifty percent 50%) of the curb, gutter, sidewalk
and drive approach has been constructed, or guaranteed in the follow-
ing blocks:
1) East side of Bresee Avenue between Belgate Street and
Los Angeles Street 71-S-17) curb, gutter, sidewalk
and drive approach)
2) North side of Olive Street between Fortin Street and
Lante Street 71-S-18) curb and gutter)
3) South side of Rockenbach Street between Stewart
Avenue and La Rica Avenue 71-S-19) sidewalk)
4) South side of Arrow Highway between Maine Avenue
and Bleecker Street 71-S-20) curb and gutter)
5) South side of Arrow Highway between Heintz Street
and Eiton Street 71-S-21) curb, gutter, sidewalk
and drive approach)
6) South side of Arrow Highway between Lante Street
and Azusa Canyon Road 71-S-22) curb and gutter)
7) West side of Bresee Avenue between Lubican Street
and Palm Avenue 71-S-23) sidewalk)
b) That it is the intention of the City Council to cause curb,
gutter, sidewalk and drive approach, hereinafter, improvements"
to be constructed at the sole expense of the owners of properties
in and along said above described areas, pursuant to Section 5870,
et seq., of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 2. That the Superintendent of Streets is hereby instructed
to mail and post notices to construct said improvements, as required by law,
SECTION 3. That pursuant to said Section 5870, et seq., the City
Council does hereby declare that on the 7th day of April, 1971, at 7:30
P..^-. oi" as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard in the Council
Chambers at 14403 East Pacific Avenue, Baldwin Park, California, it will
hear and pass upon any and all objections and protests to the ordering of
the construction of said improvements
SECTION 4. That all protests must be in writing and filed with the
City Clerk on or before the time set for hearing of objections and protests.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and shall forward copies hereof to the Superintendent of Streets.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of March 1971.
