A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ORDERING THE CON-
STRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS PURSUANT
TO SECTION 5870, ET SEQ., OF THE STREETS
AND HIGHWAYS CODE 71-S-17, 18, 19, 20,
21, 22 and 23)
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
hereby find, determine and declare as follows:
a) That pursuant to Section 5870, et sec}., of the Streets
and Highways Code of the California, the City Council has found that
more than fifty percent 50%) of the owners of lots in the blocks
designated as follows:
1) East side of Bresee Avenue between Belgate Street and
Los Angeles Street 71-S-17) curb, gutter, sidewalk
and drive approach)
2) North side of Olive Street between fortin Street and
Lante Street 71-S-18) curb and gutter)
3) South side of Rockenbach Street between Stewart
Avenue and__La Rica Avenue 71-S-19) sidewalk)
4) West side of Bresee Avenue between Lubican Street
and Palm Avenue 71-S-23) sidewalk)
have in place, or guaranteed/ curb, gutter, sidewalk and drive
approach, hereinafter, improvements", and;
b) That the City Council has initiated proceedings to cause
the construction of said improvements, within those areas, above
described, where the same have not been constructed, and;
c) That no protests were filed at the time set for hearing
on said matter, and;
d) That the public interest, convenience and necessity
require the construction of said improvements.
SECTION 2. That the Superintendent of Streets is hereby ordered
to construct said improvements above described, in accordance with the
City's standard plans and specifications therefore, in the areas above
described, in which said improvements have not been constructed within
the time permitted by law. If said improvements are constructed by the
Superintendent of Streets, he shall prepare a Report of cost therefore
as prescribed by law.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution and shall forward a copy hereof to the said Superintendent
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED 7th day of AprN_____, 1971.
