A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ORDERING THE CON-
STRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS PURSUANT
TO SECTION 5870, ET SEQ., OF THE STREETS
AND HIGHWAYS CODE 71-S-24, 25, 27,
28, 29, 30 and 31)
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
hereby find, determine and declare as follows:
a) That pursuant to Section 5870, et seq,, of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, the City Council has found
that more than fifty percent 50%) of the owners of lots in the blocks
designated as follows:
1) Southeast side of Maine Avenue between Rexwood Avenue
and Foster Avenue 71-S-24) sidewalk and drive approach)
2) Northwest side of Big Dalton Avenue between Merced Avenue
and Garvey Avenue 71-S-25) curb, gutter, sidewalk and
drive approach)
5t East side of Puente Avenue between Ramona Boulevard and
Badillo Street 71-S-27) curb and gutter)
4> North side of Garvey Avenue between Westcott Avenue and
Syracuse Avenue 71-S-28) curb, gutter, sidewalk and
drive approach)
5» West side of Westcott Avenue between Garvey Avenue and
Torch Street 71-S-29) curb, gutter, sidewalk and
drive approach)
6t North side of Garvey Avenue between Westcott Avenue and
Bess Avenue 71-S-30) sidewalk and drive approach)
7) Northeast side of Central Avenue between Vineland Avenue and
Big Dalton Wash 71-S-31) sidewalk and drive approach)
have in p3ace, or guaranteed, curb, gutter, sidewalk and drive approach,
hereinafter,"improvements", and
b) That the City Council has initiated proceedings to cause
the construction of said improvements, within those areas, above des-
cirbed, where the same have not been constructed, and;
c) That 2 protests were filed at the time set for hearing
on said matter and wc»eoverruled: and,
d) That the public interest, convenience and necessity
require the construction of said improvements»
SECTION 2. That the Superintendent of Streets is hereby
ordered to construct said improvements above described, in accordance
with the City's standard plans and specifications therefore, in the
areas above described, in which said improvements have not been con-
structed within the time permitted by law. If said improvements are
constructed by the Superintendent of Streets, he shall prepare a Report
of cost therefore as prescribed by law.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution and shall forward a copy hereof to the said Superintendent
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1971.
