HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971 141 CC RESO1971 141 CC RESO;¢fìèSRESOLUTION NO. 71- 141 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK FINDING AND DE- TERMINING THE EXISTENCE OF A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND ORDERING THE SAME ABATED 71-N-18) THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby find, determine and declare as follows: a) That pursuant to Section 3200 et seq./ of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code, proceedings have been initiated to determine whether certain premises/ and buildings and structures thereon constitute a public nuisance; and b) That the property located at 13910 Corak more particularly described as follows: Lot 17 of Tract No. 11815 except that portion of dedicated street. 8555-17-14) c) That a duly noticed public hearing having been conducted/ pursuant to Section 3203 et seq./ of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code/ to determine whether the buildings and structures on said property/ in their present state/ constitute a public nuisance; and d) That as a result of the evidence presented at said hearing/ it was determined that the same does consti- tute a public nuisance/ and that the public interest re- quires that the same be abated; and e) That the staff report/ relating to this matter/ is hereby approved and adopted by this reference. SECTION 2. That the owners of said property/ or others having an interest therein/ shall abate said nuisance in the manner set forth in the staff report/ as approved by this City Council. If such abatement is not accomplished, as required hereby, within 90 days from the date hereof/ the City Manager shall abate the same, as provided in Section 3208 et seq./ of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and cause copies hereof to be forwarded as prescribed by the Baldwin Park Municipal Code. LOCATION: 13910 Corak II. ZONING: R-l III. DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION OF PREMISES: Substandard structures and general cleanup of premises IV. INSPECTION REPORTS; 1. LOS ANGELES COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT: Notices of violations have not been issued. Section 27.113 accumulation of waste material is being violated. Recommend removal of combustible material. 2. LOS ANGELES COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT: Front: High weed growth, deteriorated fence and two trucks. Rear: Many cast off household articles, trash and debris also lumber and scrap metal. Old shed in bad repair. Recommend elimination of possible rodent harborage and fly breeding. 3. BALDWIN PARK POLICE DEPARTMENT: No crime report at this address. Subjects living at location Large amount of weeds causing a fire danger. 4. BALDWIN PARK PLANNING DEPARTMENT: The structure on the property does conform to the present zone and general plan- Zoning violations are old trucks at side of house and no paved driveway. Recommend removal of all vehicles, cleanup weeds, overgrowth and piled brush in front of house and bring house up to code. 5. BALDWIN PARK BUILDING DEPARTMENT: Substandard addition on the rear. Entire electrical equip- ment not to code and plumbing appears to have violations, Recommend removal of all substandard sheds, cleanup yard and remove the dwelling. It is recommended that the public nuisance be abated by the following: 1. Remove all substandard sheds in rear yard. Pictures B", C", D", E", G", H", I" and J". 2. Conduct general lot cleanup and removal of all outside storage. All pictures. 3. Take out permit and bring up to code addition at rear of residence.
