A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ORDERING THE CON-
STRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS PURSUANT
TO SECTION 5870, ET SEQ. OP THE STREETS
AND HIGHWAYS CODE 71-S-34)
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does resolve as
fallows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park do^s
hereby find, determine and declare as follows:
a) That pursuant to Section 5870, et seq., of the Streets
and Highways Code of the 5tate of California, the City Council has
found that more than sixty.percent 60%) of the owners of lots in
the block designated as follows:
1) West side of Hornbrook Avenue between Los
Angeles Street and Palm Avenue 71-S-34)
have filed a petition requesting the construction of sidewalk
adjacent to curb and drive approach, hereinafter improvements",
and;
b) That the City Council has initiated proceedings to cause
the construction of said improvements, within that area, above
described, where the same has not been constructed, and;
c) That no protests were filed at the time set for
hearing on said matter, and;
d) That the public interest, convenience and necessity
require the construction of said improvements.
SECTION 2. That the Superintendent of Streets is hereby ordered
to construct said improvements above described, in accordance with the
City's standard plans and specifications therefore, in the area above
described, in which said improvements have not been constructed within
the time permitted by law. If said improvements are constructed by
the Superintendent of Streets, he shall prepare a Report of cost
therefore, as prescribed by law.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution and shall forward a copy hereof to the said Super-
intendent.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of June_______,
1971.
