A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF B;J.,DWIN PARK ORDERING THE CON-
STRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS PURSUANT
TO SECTION 5870, ET SEQ. OF THE STREETS
AND HIGHWAYS CODE f71-5-56, 37, 58, 39
and 40)
The City Council of' the City of Baldwin Park does resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
hereby find, determine and declare as follows:
a) That pursuant to Section 5870, et seq./ of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, the City Council has found that
more than fifty percent 50%) of the lots in the bloc!<s designated as
follows:
1) West side of Barnes Avenue between Fairgrove Street
and Waltham Street 71-S-36) curb and gutter)
2) Southwest side of Torch Street between Syracuse Avenue
and Westcott Avenue 71-S-37) curb and gutter)
5) Northwest side of Maine Avenue between Foster Street
and Francisquito Avenue 71-S-38) curb and gutter)
4) East side of Bresee Avenue between Palm Avenue and
Bellgreen Street 71-S-39) sidewalk)
5t East side of Syracuse Avenue between Torch Street
and Garvey Avenue 71-S-40) curb and gutter)
have in place, or guaranteed, curb, gutter, sidewalk and drive approach,
hereinafter, improvements", and;
b) That the City Council has initiated proceedings to cause
the construction of said improvements, within thoae areas above des-
cribed, where the same have not been constructed, and;
c) That no___protests were filed at the time set for
hearing on said matter, and;
d) That the public interest, convenience and necessity require
the construction of said improvements.
SECTION 2. That the Superintendent of Streets is hereby ordered
to construct said improvements above described, in accordance with the
City's standard plans and specifications therefore, in the areas above
described, in which said improvements have not been constructed by the
Superintendent of Streets, he shall prepare a Report of cost therefore,
as prescribed by law.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption-of
this Resolution and shall forward a copy hereof to the said Superintendent)
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of June____, 1971.
