A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK REQUESTING
DEFERMENT OF INCREASED RATES FOR THE
1/50TH MISCELLANEOUS MEMBER FORMULA

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. WHEREAS Senate Bill 249 did pass the
legislature and has been signed by Governor Reagan and became
effective July 1, 1971, and this bill provides for deferment
of increased rates upon request of the legislative bodies and;
WHEREAS this is in the public interest
for the City to defer such rates.
SECTION 2. This City Council does hereby request
deferment of imposition of such rate to July 1, 1972.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and forward a certified copy
thereof to the California State Public Employees' Retirement
System.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 7th day of July. 1971.
