A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ORDERING THB CON-
STRUCTION OF CERTAIN MPROVBIENTS PURSUANT
TO SECTION 5870, OT SEQ., OF THE STREETS
AND HIGHWAYS CODE 71-S-58,59,60,61,62 6 63)
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
hereby find, determine and declare as follows:
a) That pursuant to Section 5870, et seq., of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California, the City Council has
ordered the owners of lots in the blocks designated as follows:
1) Northwest side of Vineland Avenue between Rexwood
Street and Merced Avenue 71-S-58) sidewalk and
drive approach)
2) East side of Bleecker Street between Arrow Highway
and Nubia Street 71-S-59) curb and gutter)
3) South side of Pain Avenue between Walnut Street
and Merced Avenue 71-S-60) curb and gutter)
4) South side of Palm Avenue between Merced Avenue
and Jerry AvenuO 71-S-61) curb and gutter)
5) South side of Palm Avenue between Baldwin Park
Boulevard and Maine Avenue 71-S-62) curb and gutter)
6) North side of Palm Avenue between Baldwin Park
Boulevard and Maine Avenue 71-S-63) curb and gutter)
to construct curb, gutter, sidewalk and drive approach, and;
b) That the City Council has initiated proceedings to cause
the construction of said improvements, within those areas, above
described, where the same have not been constructed, and;
c) That I protest, was filed, relating to district 71-S-65,
at the time set for hearing on said matter, and is hereby overruled, and;
d) That the public interest, convenience and necessity
require the construction of said improvements.
SECTION 2. That the Superintendent of Streets is hereby
ordered to construct said improvements above described, in accordance
with the City's standard plans and specifications therefore,^in the
areas above described, in which said improvements have not baen con-*
structed within the time permitted by law. If said improvements are
constructed by the Superintendent of Streets, he shall prepare a Report
of cost therefore, as prescribed by law.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution and shall forward a copy hereof to the said Super-
intendent.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of September 1971
