HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971 223 CC RESO1971 223 CC RESO;¢fìévRESOLUTION NO. 71- 225 RESOLUTION OP THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK FINDING AND DE- TERMINING THE EXISTENCE OF A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND ORDERING THE SAME ABATED 71-N-49) THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS; SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby find, determine and declare as follows: a) That pursuant to Section 3200 et seq., of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code, proceedings have been initiated to determine whether certain premises/ and buildings and structures thereon constitute a public nuisance; and b) That the property located at 13426 East Francisquito Avenue more particularly described as follows: Tract No. 718 northwest 100.36 feet of southwest 430 feet of northeast 440 feet of Lot 35. 8551-24-30) 71-N-49) c) That a duly noticed public hearing having been conducted, pursuant to Section 3203 et seq., of the Baldwin Park Municiapl Code, to determine whether the buildings and structures on said property, in their present state, constitute a public nuisance; and d) That as a result of the evidence hearing, it was determined that the same does public nuisance, and that the public interest same be abated; and presented at said constitute a requires that the e) That the staff report, relating to this matter, is hereby approved and adopted by this reference. SECTION 2. That the owners of said property, or others having an interest therein, shall abate said nuisance in the manner set forth in the staff report, as approved by this City Council. If such abatement is not accomplished, as required hereby, within 50 days from the date hereof, the City Manager shall abate the same, as provided in Section 3208 et seq., of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code. SECTION 3, That the City Clerk shall of this Resolution and cause copies hereof to by the Baldwin Park Municipal Code. LOCATION: 13426 East Francisquito Avenue II. ZONING: R-3 III. DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION OF PREMISES: Major lot cleanup. IV. INSPECTION REPORTS: 1. LOS ANGELES COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT: One acre of land lumber, machines, car engines, bus, boat and other material neatly placed throughout back yard. Owner informs us this material is being taken away. No fire hazard. 2. LOS ANGELES COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT: Structure'appears to be in good condition. Yard filled with household articles, tires, appliances, motors and auto parts. Lot is very deep with seven vehicles on premises. Old shed has numerous auto parts stored and some lumber stored on ground. Recommend eliminate possible rodent harborage. 3. BALDWIN PARK POLICE DEPARTMENT: Victim 488 PC, 6/28/68; R/P Stored vehicle 1/9/71 crime report. This property is not a patrol problem. 4. BALDWIN PARK PLANNING DEPARTMENT: There is a make shift overhang and a make shift storage hut encroaching into side yard setback. Junk stored on property blocking access to garage and junk to rear of house. Recommend removal of all make shift structures and all junk and storage from property. 5. BALDWIN PARK BUILDING DEPARTMENT: No Building Code violations. It is recommended that the Public Nuisance be abated by the following: 1. Remove all storage including auto parts etc. from entire prpperty, all pictures. 2. Demolish rear shed. Picture C". 3. Conduct general lot cleanup including weeds. All pictures.
