Home My WebLink About1971 236 CC RESO1971 236 CC RESO;¢fìé?RESOLUTION NO. 71-236 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK FINDING AND DE- TERMINING THE EXISTENCE OF A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND ORDERING THE SAME ABATED 71-N-53) THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby find, determine and declare as follows: a) That pursuant to Section 3200 et seq., of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code, proceedings have been initiated to determine whether certain premises, and buildings and structures thereon constitute a public nuisance; and b) That the property located at the 1st Lot north of 4806 Maine more particularly described as follows: Tract No. 4911 north 45 feet of south 140 feet of east 145 feet of Lot 1. 8414-14-12) 71-N-53) c) That a duly noticed public hearing having been conducted, pursuant to Section 3203 et seq., of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code, to determine whether the buildings and structures on said property, in their present state, con- stitute a public nuisance; and d) That as a result of the evidence presented at said hearing, it was determined that the same does constitute a public nuisance, and that the public interest requires that the same be abated; and e) That the staff report, relating to this matter, is hereby approved and adopted by this reference• SECTION 2. That the owners of said property, or others having cm interest therein, shall abate said nuisance in the manner set forth in the staff report, as approved by this City Council* If such abate- ment is not accomplished, as required hereby, within 30 days from the date hereof, the City Manager shall abate the same, as provided in Section 3208 et seq., of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and cause copies hereof to be forwarded as prescribed by the Baldwin Park Municipal Code. LOCATION: 1st Lot north of 4806 Maine Avenue II. ZONING: C-l III. DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION OF PREMISES: Substandard structure and general cleanup of premises. IV. INSPECTION REPORTS: 1. LOS ANGELES COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT: Section 13.27 unsafe structure is being violated. No action has been taken by this department. 2. LOS ANGELES COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT: This is a vacant lot with some weeds and trash, also an old substandard shed in a deteriorated condition with some materials inside. Recommend removal of shed and general cleanup of premises. 3. BALDWIN PARK POLICE DEPARTMENT: Crime report: 5/11/67 11530 H&S, S-Dane, Alvin Cleo, AR67-0354, S-Bolas, George William Jr. AR67-0350, 67CR- 1580). Lot has several beer cans and large rocks on ground. Does not offer any fire or health problems, how- ever, being unable to enter secured shed unable to relate if any problems exist within the shed. Otherwise, grounds open for observation from Maine Avenue. 4. BALDWIN PARK PLANNING DEPARTMENT: Old wood shed, poorly maintained and a fire hazard on vacant lot. Recommend demolition of shed. 5. BALDWIN PARK BUILDING DEPARTMENT: Substandard shed on premises. Recommend demolition of shed and clean up lot. It is recommended that the Public Nuisance be abated by the following 1. Demolish shed. 2.
