A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ORDERING THE CON-
STRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS PURSUANT
TO SECTION 5870, ET SEQ. OP THE STREETS
AND HIGHWAYS CODE 71-S-72 & 73)
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
hereby find, determine and declare as follows:
a) That pursuant to Section 5870, et seq., of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, the City Council has found that
more than sixty percent 60%) of the owners of lots in the blocks desig-
nated as follows:
1) North side of Salisbury Street between Barnes
Avenue and Syracuse Avenue 71-S-72)
2) South side of Salisbury Street between Barnes
Avenue and Syracuse Avenue 71-S-73)
have filed a petition requesting the construction of curb, gutter,
sidewalk and drive approach, hereinafter improvements", and;
b) That the City Council has initiated proceedings to cause
the construction of said improvements, within that area, above described,
where the same have no t been cons true ted, and;
c) That no protest filed at the time set for hearing
on said matter, and;
d) That the public interest, convenience and necessity require
the construction of said improvements.
SECTION 2. That the Superintendent of Streets is hereby ordered
to construct said improvements above described, in accordance with the
City's standard plans and specifications therefore, in the areas above
described, in which said improvements have not been constructed within
the time permitted by law. If said improvements are constructed by the
Superintendent of Streets, he shall prepare a Report of cost therefore,
as prescribed by law.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution and shall forward a copy hereof to the said Superintendent
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of December____,
