A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK SETTING A TIME AND PLACE FOR
HEARING REGARDING PROPOSED CHANGES IN THE
WORK FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 71-1 RAMONA
BOULEVARD.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby find, deter-
mine and declare, as follows:
a) That the Engineer of Work and City Engineer have
recommended that certain changes in the work be made be-
cause during construction it was found necessary and in
the best interests of the City to expedite under emer-
gency conditions certain changes unforeseen on the plans,
but encountered during the construction; and
b) That said changes are described as follows:
1. Storm Drain Work
A) Construct two sto?*m drain Transition
Structures #1 per L.A.C.F.C.D. Drawing #2D-235
on Baldwin Park Boulevard, Station 1+42 and 1+90
because of two large interfering water mains.

B) Jack 301 of 27" R.C.P. under Bassett line
SPRR, in lieu of open trench to clear railroad
operation.

C) Contractor's delays encountered at Robin
Avenue for storm drain construction due to un-
foreseen underground utilities and partial change
from 15" RCP to 8" ACP.

D) Extra work due to storm drain connector
stub at Baldwin Park Boulevard 45" RCP stub being
0.6' higher in elevation than anticipated relay
portion of storm drain.

E) Encased shallow storm drain laterals at
Bogart Avenue and Maine Avenue.

F) Encase storm drain lateral east of Maine
with PCC due to shallow depth.

G) Extra for changes in catch basin depth due
to depth adjustments to avoid underground utility

A) Remove and replace 6" curb with I* gutter
east and west of Southern Pacific Bassett Line
railroad-realignment.

height 8" curb and 1' gutter in front of Wimpy's
Auto Repair per late.property owner request.

C) Remove and replace curb only west side of
Maine at rear of Crocker Bank due to deteriorated
condition.

D) Remove 79' of curb only and replace with
curb and 2* gutter fronting church on Maine Ave-
nue south of Ramona Boulevard. Also remove and
replace 90 sq.ft. of sidewalk, all due to deteri-
orated condition.

E) Remove and replace 10' of 8" curb and I*
gutter for a driveway X" relocation at Vinney
Milliken Lumber Yard to work around telephone
vault manhole.

sidewalk construction on private property, late
property owner request.

G) Remove 8" curb only and replace with de-

Ramona Boulevard at Maine due to a late request
by the property owner.

A) Parkway relocation of traffic signal con-
trollers at two locations,

B) Place No. 4 wire in lieu of No. 8 wire
to traffic signal controller at Ramona-Maine due
to excessive voltage drop.

C) Rewire far side" traffic signal display
at Ramona-Maine Avenue north and southbound so sig
nal phasing display coincides with near side"

A) Payment for railroad rail hardware, tie
plates, bolts, etc., due to Railroad Coipany re-
quirements for salvage and reuse.

vert at Bassett Line railroad spur.

C) Extend building roof drain pipes to curb
43 pipes at 28 separate building locations.

to street grade change.

G) Extra painted pavement markings for traffic
control added under field operating conditions,

concrete for temporary detour over Bassett Line
Railroad tracks due to delayed Southern Pacific
Track crossing work.

I) Extra work to adjust sprinkler system vacuui
breaker heights to meet late County Health Depart-
ment safeguards against backflow.

J) Modifications to fiye decorative water
fountains for fuller water flow.

c) That April S. 1972 at 7t30 P.m. in the Council
Chamber of the City Hall, 14403 E. Pacific Avenue, Baldwin
Park, is designated as the time apd place for the hearing,
on whether said changes will be accomplished.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adopt-
ion of this Resolution, and cause a copy hereof to be published
pursuant to Section 5232 of the Streets and Highways Code of
the State of California.
