A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DENYING AN AMENDMENT
TO THE ZONING CODE RELATING TO THE SALE
OF FURNITURE, FURNISHINGS AND APPLIANCES
NEW AND USED) IN THE M-1 ZONE INITIATED
BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION; CASE NO. AZC-64)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby
find and determine as follows:
a. That on the 12th day of April, 1972 a duty noticed public
hearing was held by the Planning Comnission for the purpose
of determining whether the Baldwin Park Zoning Code should
be amended to permit the sale of furniture, furnishings and
appliances new and used) in the M-1 Zone; and
b. That as a result of the evidence and testimony at said
hearing, it was determined that the public interest and
necessity would not be served by such an amendment; and
c. That a timely appeal was filed, appealing the Planning
Commission's decision to the City Council; and
d. That the public interest, convenience and necessity
require that the proposed amendment be denied.
SECTION 2. That based on the above findings and determinations,
the proposed amendment above described be and the
same is, hereby, denied.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of May. 1972.
