A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK REQUESTING
THE CALIFORNIA STATE SENATE TO
OPPOSE ASSEMBLY BILL 2358 RELATING
TO COSTS OF COUNTY CONTRACT SERVICES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Grand Jury has hereto-
fore conducted a comprehensive study of the costs entailed
by the County of Los Angeles in providing services to contract
cities, and
WHEREAS, the said Grand Jury has recommended that contract
cities should bear the full costs of services provided to
them by contract with Los Angeles County, and
WHEREAS, Assembly Bill 2358 would not only negate the
recommendations of the said Grand Jury but would create a
greater difference between the costs of said services and
the charges therefor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the California State Senate is urged
to oppose Assembly Bill 2358"for the reason
that it will perpetuate and increase exist-
ing inequity in the charges for contract
services provided to citizens of Los Angeles
County.
2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and forward
copies hereof to the California State Senate.
