A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ADOPT-
ING THE FOLLOWING ELEMENTS TO THE
GENERAL PLAN CASE NO. AGP-24)
1. Open Space
2. Recreation
3. Conservation
4. Scenic Highway
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
hereby find and determine as follows:
a. That on the 9th doy of August. 1972, the Planning
Commission held a duly noticed public hearing on
the above four elements of the General Plan; and
then recommended adoption of these elements.
b. That the State Law requires adoption of the open
space, conservation and scenic highway elements
of the General Plan.
c. That the future development of the City will be
enhanced by public discussion and adoption of
City goals and policies for open space, public
recreation, conservation and Scenic Highways; and
d. That the Parks Commission has reviewed and concurred
with the proposed elements; and
e. That the City Council held Its hearing on the
Planning Commission's recommendation on Sept mber
6, 1972.
SECTION 2. That the City Council adopts the following recom-
mendations:
a. That the four elements above, consisting of a
report and map dated August 9, 1972, become
part of the City's General Plan.
b. That these elements, along with the rest of the
General Plan be reviewed and updated annually;
and
c. That these elements become the City Council's
official policy and be used as a guideline for
the expenditure of City monies.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and forward a copy hereof to
the Secretary of the Planning Commission.
