A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN BY DELETING
A PROPOSED EXTENSION OF OLIVE STREET BETWEEN RIVER-
GRADE ROAD AND CENTER STREET CASE NO. AGP-23)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby find
and determine, as follows:
a. That the Planning Commission of the City conducted a duly
noticed public hearing on the amendment to the General
Plan to delete the extension of Olive Street between
Rivergrade Road and Center Street; and
b. That' the cost of extending the street exceeds any public
benefit; and
c. That the adjoining properties have other satisfactory
street access; and
d. That opening the street may bring industrial traffic
into residential neighborhoods; and
e. That the circulation for the area is adequately provided
by existing streets and proposed extension of Merced Avenue; and
f. That the public interest, convenience and necessity require
the amendment of the General Plan.
SECTION 2. That the City's General Plan be, and hereby is. amended by
deleting therefrom, the extension of Olive Street as shown
on the attached exhibit A".
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of the resolution
and forward a copy hereof to the Secretary of the Planning
Commission of the City of Baldwin Park.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 20th day of September, 1972.
