A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK FORMALIZING CITY
POLICIES WITH REGARD TO OFFERS OF DEDICA-
TION FOR PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. That the policies of the City of Baldwin Park. with
regard to the acceptance of formal offers of dedication for public street
purposes, are hereby established as follows:
a) Existing Streets. That all offers of dedication for
public street purposes, regardless of whether such areas are Improved
for such purposes or not, shall be accepted by the City so as to
provide for the ultimate right-of-way width as designated by the City
Council. Where such offers of such dedication are made. but street
Improvements have not either been constructed or guaranteed, the same
shall be constructed, by any one of the following methods:
1) If required by a condition of approval Imposed upon a
zone variance, conditional use permit, lot split or subdivision; or
required pursuant to Section 8104 et seq. of the Baldwin Park Muni-
cipal Code; or required by a special assessment district proceeding;
the Improvements shall be at the expense of the property owner.
2) If such an offer of dedication Is made, but Is not re-
quired to be made by reason of the foregoing, the cost of construction
of curbs and gutters, drive approaches and paving shall be borne by
the City, as funds become available.
b) Future Streets. Offers of dedication for proposed future
streets shall be accepted only where the cost of street Improvements
are borne by the property owner.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.
