A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK REQUESTING
THE PERMISSION OF THE BOARD OF SUPER-
VISORS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES
FOR THE RENDITION OF CERTAIN SERVICES
BY THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS OF SAID
COUNTY, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD
IN SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park does hereby find, determine and declare as follows:
a) That a Special Municipal Election
will be held and conducted in said City on
May 8, 1973; and
b) That pursuant to law, certain election
material must be prepared for mailing to each
registered qualified voter of City prior to said
election; and
c) That certain other election material
must be obtained for said election; and
d) That the public interest, convenience
and necessity require that this City Council
request permission of the Board of Supervisors
to allow the Registrar of Voters of said County,
to perform certain hereinafter specified services,
for and on behalf of said City in conjunction with
said election; and
e) That the cost of said services, upon the
completion thereof, shall be a proper charge against
the City.
SECTION 2. That the services requested by and on behalf
of said City to be performed by said Registrar of Voters,
shall be as follows:
a) the printing of the names and addresses
of all registered qualified voters of the City on
polling place inserts"; and
b) placing of the inserts", sample ballots
and any other required election material, into
envelopes; and
c) preparation of the said prepared
envelopes for mailing, in accordance with appli-
cable regulations of the United States Postal
Service; and
d) preparation of copies of the Index to
Register of Voters" for election precincts within
the City 22003, Elections Code).

The City shall, promptly, furnish to said Registrar
materials necessary to permit said Registrar to perform
the services hereinabove described.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify the
adoption of this Resolution and shall forward certified
copies hereof, to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors,
and to the Registrar of Voters of the County of Los Angeles
PASSED AND APPROVED this 21st day of February
1973.
