A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING
CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS TO FILE A WRITTEN
ARGUMENT FOR A CITY MEASURE
WHEREAS, a special municipal election is to be held in
the City of Baldwin Park on May 8, 1973, at which there
will be submitted to the qualified electors of said City
the following measure:
SHALL THE CHARTER
PREPARED AND PROPOSED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN
PARK BE ADOPTED?
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER,
as follows:
SECTION 1. That this City Council, being the legislative
body of the City of Baldwin Park, hereby authorizes
Russell W. Blewett, Mayor
Virgil V. Hamilton, Councilman
Adelina Gregory, Councilman
Joseph McCaron, Councilman, and
Leo King, Mayor Pro tern
members of said body, to file a written argument for the City
measure set forth in the recitals hereof in accordance with
Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 4 of the Elections Code of
the State of California and to change said argument until
and including the date fixed by the City Clerk, after which
no arguments for or against said City measure may be submitted
to her.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 21st day of February,
1973
