SAC Relays on April 27. 28 and 29; and WHEREAS, THE MOUNT SAN ANTONIO RELAYS have developed Into one of the premier track and field meets In the Nation and world; and WHEREAS, THE MOUNT SAN ANTONIO COLLEGE relays have produced more national track and field records than any other similar event In the nation; and WHEREAS, THE MOUNT SAN ANTONIO relays have helped to develop and strengthen the moral fiber and character of those Individuals participating directly and Indirectly In the relays, and; WHEREAS, because of the national and International notarlety, the Mount SAC Relays have brought distinction to the East San Gabriel Valley Area, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park hereby goes on_record as extending on behalf of Itself and the citizens of the City of Baldwin Park It's recognition and support to the Mount San Antonio College Relays for the contribution It has made to our comnunlty. WHEREAS, the 15th Annual Mount San Antonio Relays are to be held f on the 27. 28, and 29, of April, 1973, and WHEREAS, Athletes from a11 of Southern California and the entire nation wilt once again compete for the honor and distinction afforded them with success in the Mt. SAC Relays, and WHEREAS, the Mount San Antonio Relays have produced more world c.^d national records, and developed more championship athletes, than any other similar event in the nation, and WHEREAS. the Mt. SAC Relays are used, and are recognized as proving ground for the athletes aspiring to participate with the United States Olympic team in the quadriniat games, and WHEREAS, the Mount San Antonio Relays have made a positive and casting contribution to all those individuals and communities Involved directly and indirectly with the relays. NOW, THEREFORE. I, MAYOR of the City of do hereby proclaim the week of April 23 thru 29, as Mt. San Antonio Relays Week, and heartily encourage the citizens of to support and attend the Mt.
