A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK COMMENDING THE CITY CLERKS OF
THIS STATE ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE NEWLY
FORMED CITY CLERKS' ASSOCIATION OF CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, it has come to our attention that at meetinqs
held in January, 1973, the Northern California City Clerks'
Association and the Southern California City Clerks' Association
united to become the City Clerks' Association of California; and
WHEREAS, this new organization, while technically
maintaining through its bylaws the identity of the former two
Divisions, has nonetheless made possible the joining of members
in a mutual desire to provide and promote grater professional
administration on the part of City Clerks' Offices throughout
the State, to promote improved standards of efficiency for City
Clerks and for the purpose of furthering the cause of better
Municipal Government through increased cooperation with other
municipal officials; and
WHEREAS, the role of the City Clerk in Municipal
Government throughout the State has been a vital and positive
force in the effective and efficient municipal operations in
California;
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the members of the
City Council of the City of Baldwin Park, by the adoption of this
resolution, commend the City Clerks of this State for their fine
work which made possible the establishment of the newly formed
City Clerks' Association of California and express all good
wishes for future endeavors beneficial to the Cities they represent
and to our State.
